GOP Rep. Turns Tables on Sharp-Tongued Atheist College Student
You’d think the question of adding “atheist chaplains” to the military was put to rest by the House of Representatives, which voted against the controversial proposal several few weeks ago, but the secular humanist lobby is continuing to battle.

This time an atheist college student, Daniel Moran, took to the microphone at a town hall meeting Thursday and asked U.S. Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) why he twice voted against the measure.

Yes, 1517, that is correct and many mainline chaplains would be more interested in psychological explanations than religious ones, so atheists can go to them. Psychology:The Trojan Horse for Evangelists, but the mainline churches and the Romish Church (just can't help reminding people Should Roman Catholicism really be classified as a Christian religion? -- No. (PDF) )opened their doors to it.

The main need for chaplains are for those members of churches that are sacramental and sacerdotal. An actual Christian can function without them. When I could, I went to church outside the post. Naturally, not all Sundays were free time.

The atheist, as well as all others who support such a silly position, seems to forget their are atheist chaplains already...they are called psychologists. The very fact that atheists would push for chaplains and churches betrays the innate desire of humans to worship something and that all humans have souls that need a transcendent relationship.

"Could there be a similar appeal for an atheist church in Christian America where only 4% of the population state publicly they are atheists or agnostics?. According to Roy Speckhardt, executive director of the American Humanist Association: -
"One challenge in the discussion that's occurred on the rise of atheist churches so far is that it tends to overlook the fact that the majority of involved atheists and humanists aren't actually interested in personally being involved in a congregation atmosphere."
Also with the atheist 'struggle' for separation of church and state, I'd have thought they wouldn't want to add to the problem?
William J. Murray III son of famous atheist Old Lady O'Hair wrote a book about 30 years ago in which he stated his mother was an ordained atheist minister in the Universal Life Church.

John Y., you forgot the Romish Church, the Magisterium of that are practical atheists. But really the only really recognizable atheistic/agnostic organization could well be, Unitarian/Universalism a small but highly influential groups since so many of their group are university professors, Unitarian Universalism-Part 1, Unitarian Universalism-Part 2...etc.

A Tea-Party Anglican? Ah, I wouldn't confuse this politician with a Christian. By the way, not only Come Out Of The Catholic Church (PDF) but the Catholic-lite one as well, the Anglican Church, q.v., The Down Grade.

"Atheist chaplains"???
What's next?
Atheist preachers?
In pulpits?
On Sundays? (The day available)
Aimed at a quote; higher power? Human intellectual polemics?
Maybe some will be converted?
Converted to what?
Since they already believe in the non-existence of God - The only alternative is God brings them into the light.
God brings good things out of bad. After all HE saves sinners.

I Believe Congressman Burgess Answered The Student, Daniel Moran, Quite Well; In Fact, He Answered Him Excellently.

Mr. Moran's Biggest Mistake Was In The Beginning Of His Statement "I love politics, that's why I'm a major...but anyway."

To Like Politics Is One Thing.

To Love Politics Is Quite Another Thing.

A Very EVIL Thing !

Politics Is Generally Defined As "The Art Of Compromise."

Therefore, The Young "Atheist", Daniel Moran, Basically Said "I Love 'The Art Of Compromise' ".

Now, To LOVE The Art Of Compromise &-Or The Art Of Compromising Is A Very, VERY Anti-Christian & Anti-Biblical Thing To Do.

For To Compromise On ANY Matter, Subject &-Or Issue Is To Say That You're Neither "Cold" Nor "Hot" On The Said Matter/Subject/Issue; But, That You'll Basically Take A "Lukewarm" Opinion, Position &-Or Stand On The Aforesaid Matter/Subject/Issue.

And THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, GOD MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, UNEQUIVOCALLY SAID:

"I Know Thy Works, That Thou Art Neither Cold Nor Hot: I Would Thou Wert Cold Or Hot.

So Then Because Thou Art Lukewarm, And Neither Cold Nor Hot,

I WILL SPUE THEE OUT OF MY MOUTH."--REVELATION 3:15-16

**This Is Why NOT ONLY ATHEISTS WILL ETERNALLY BURN IN THE LAKE OF FIRE;

BUT, ALSO LOVERS OF POLITICS & HARDCORE POLITICIANS !**
