When scientists at a Maryland museum announced the discovery of the fossil of a whale skull on the banks of the Potomac River in Virginia, they calculated the age to be approximately 15 million years old.
The age, according to a Washington Post report Monday, was determined by the geologic formation in which it was found, the Calvert Formation.
Scientists call this the relative method of dating, which assumes the fossils in a particular sedimentary layer are within the same geological epoch....
Man's science or to put it more accurately man's speculation declares itself to be in opposition to and in disagreement to the Bible the Word of God. Man of course is an evil hearted sinner who is under the influence of sin and Satan therefore man is bound to lie about these things. The death of this whale could not have happened before sin entered the world around six thousand years ago.
Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
"Radiometric dating methods are based on unverifiable assumptions about the past" Close enough..."whacko"...ha-ha. "Evidence is always interpreted in light of your world view"
So true and the 1st sentence is precisely why nuclear and carbon dating is totally unreliable beyond a specific period. The climate was much different before the flood and has been degrading ever since. The dating of fossils is nothing but circular reasoning: the age of a fossil is determined by the layer of sediment, but the age of the sediment is determined by the ages of the fossils found. Hmmm.
