South Africa's Desmond Tutu Says He Wouldn't Worship “Homophobic” God

Desmond Tutu (shown), the controversial black Anglican archbishop of South Africa, came out boldly for homosexual rights in comments July 26, going as far as to say that he could not worship a God who rejects the aberrant lifestyle. The 81-year-old Tutu, who retired as the Anglican archbishop of Cape Town back in 1996, was speaking at a news conference for the launch of a United Nations campaign to promote homosexual rights.

“I would refuse to go to a homophobic heaven,” declared the high-profile black African leader, who was a key champion for the end of white majority rule in South Africa in the 1970s and '80s. “No, I would say sorry — I mean, I would much rather go to the other place,” he said. Tutu added for emphasis, “I would not worship a God who is homophobic and that is how deeply I feel about this.”

According to the U.K.'s Daily Mail newspaper, Tutu said the UN's pro-homosexual gambit ...

"“I would refuse to go to a homophobic heaven,” declared the high-profile black African leader"

Malachi 2:17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?

Boy, I guess wisdom doesn't always come with age. I think it's disturbing when people suppose that we should follow God only insofar that we agree with Him. Mankind thinks they are oh so intelligent, untouchable, and in complete control. While on this Earth, many in positions of power get so puffed up that they really do begin to believe that they are some sort of gods, so much so that they believe they are in complete control of of where they will spend eternity. This man for example, is so puffed up that he thinks he can actually speak out against the God of all that is; the God who created him. The God who has the power to destroy him for eternity in Hell. He has the nerve to actually scold the almighty God, scold Him in front of the entire world because God says that homosexuality is an abomination, and he doesn't agree. He doesn't agree because he himself is a homosexual, has homosexual tendencies, supports homosexuality, is an abuser or knows abusers, or because he, like all politicians, is taking the easy, popular route.
To whom much is given...
Just like Obama and Democrats think they are gods.

"South Africa's Desmond Tutu Says He Wouldn't Worship "Homophobic" [g]od"

Then, Does This Mean That South Africa's Desmond Tutu WILL Worship A "Heterophobic" god ?

Or, That He'll Go To A "Heterophobic" Heaven (Which Is Really HELL) !

Let's Say Like "President" Obama, "Pope" Francis-I & ALL The Hardened And Reprobate Sodomites & Gomorrahites Do & Will Go To !

"Then The LORD Rained Upon Sodom And Upon Gomorrah Brimstone And Fire From The LORD Out Of Heaven;

And HE Overthrew Those Cities, AND All THE PLAIN, And ALL THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITIES, And That Which Grew Upon
The Ground." Genesis 19:24-25

Evidently, There Were MORE CITIES In "All The Plain" Besides Just Sodom & Gomorrah That Almighty GOD Rained "Fire From The LORD Out Of Heaven."

*Obama, Francis-I, Desmond Tutu And ALL HARDENED & REPROBATE SODOMITES:

"Know Ye Not That The Unrighteous Shall Not Inherit The Kingdom Of GOD (HEAVEN)?

Be Not Deceived:

Neither Fornicators,

Nor Idolaters,

Nor Adulterers,

Nor Effeminate (Sodomites, Homosexuals, 'Gays'),

Nor Abusers Of Themselves With Mankind (&-Or Womankind As In 'Lesbians' & Etc.)

Nor Thieves,

Nor Coveteous,

Nor Drunkards,

Nor Revilers,

Nor Extortioners,

Shall Inherit The Kingdom Of GOD (HEAVEN). 1 CORINTHIANS 6:9-10 !

Jesus said that those who are counted worthy to attain that life neither Marry nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels. Paul said in Christ there is neither male or female but a new creation. Apparently Bishop Tutu believes that the kingdom of God is just an extension of life on earth. I think the Bishop needs to read his Bible a little more carefully.
I think the point is that we won't have marriage contracts with God until "death do us part" because we won't die. Not that we won't ever be in love with someone for eternity.

Sadly on this site people are too quick to vent their wrath against such people Like Desmond Tutu and slow to seek their spiritual good.which is after all a gospel requirement.

No one on this site desires that anyone face God's wrath and none of us are venting our own wrath. Perhaps a better way to look at it is we are simply repeating what our heavenly Father said regarding this sin. So, if I say that homosexuality is an abomination and those who practice it will face God's wrath, I am simply repeating what scripture says. Should we not do that?

But, I appreciate your comment and understand what you must have meant. But, the battle is sometimes confronting the sinful action in question. This fellow is attacking God and His word and that issue must be addressed. You have no way of knowing whether or not someone is venting their "own" wrath.

Speaking to reporters on a flight back from Brazil, he reaffirmed the Roman Catholic Church's position that homosexual acts were sinful, but homosexual orientation was not.
He was responding to questions about whether there was a "gay lobby" in the Vatican.

“I would not worship a God who is homophobic and that is how deeply I feel about this.”

"homophobic" like the word "gay" have been invented to confound the gullible and reject morals in reprobate society.

The Anglican counterfeit like all the false churches is unbiblical and morally defective. Filled with nominal Christians they represent a Satanic witness to the nations and to the ignorant secular world. Described in Matthew 7:21-23 they are foreign to and unknown by Christ who rejects them as the apostate religious perfidious crowd they are.

It is little wonder that politicians like Cameron and Obama are so perverted that they introduce satanic and evil unnatural legislation to satisfy the worst evils amongst the nations. When the so called churches are unbiblical morally defective and foolish as to reject the Word of God and His laws to placate worldliness and iniquity.

Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

A typical wooly, ecumenist, smarmy anglican, deceived and deceiving. God's greatest judgment is reserved for them that teach incorrectly.

[“I would refuse to go to a homophobic heaven,” declared the high-profile black African leader, who was a key champion for the end of white majority rule in South Africa in the 1970s and '80s. “No, I would say sorry — I mean, I would much rather go to the other place,” he said.]

Note,
IMHO, the use of the words "other place" are an attempt to demote belief in HELL even further. It is a ploy of the ecumenical system, which seeks to destroy the Gospel and further unbelief, while trying to remain religious and all do-goody. It reminds me of "Mother Theresa" who sought to further unbelief in scripture by saying, "No, I do not need to be born again."
