Two Americans Added to Food Stamp Rolls for Every Job Administration Says It Created

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said yesterday that the Obama administration has pulled the nation from the depths of the "Great Recession" with the creation of 7.2 million private sector jobs.

"And what is absolutely true is that we have come a long way since the depths of the Great Recession. We've created over 7.2 million private sector jobs," Carney told reporters at a press briefing.

Here's what Mr. Carney didn't say:

Since February of 2009, the first full month of Obama's presidency, 9.5 million Americans have dropped out of the labor force. Nearly 90 million Americans are not working today! ...

With good reason, US. He isn't. But your point about not considering the tone of his skin is well made.

Jamel that is politics my friend. No matter who is in office, or what color their skin is, the unemployment numbers and the economy get pinned to them. I don't sit here and ponder what race our president is, you obviously do. If this was the 1930's I would be blaming the policies of FDR. During the 70's we can blame Nixon, Ford and Carter. This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with, in the case of my post, pure facts. I blame the administration's policies (many of which he has implemented via executive fiat) and those who passed them in Congress. My post wasn't even intended to be a praise of president Bush, who had his fair share of problems, just pointing out it is futile to talk about job creation when we statistically have fewer people working. The 2 to one ratio of which the article speaks has everything to do with the policies of this administration. To be honest, it never crossed my mind that it had anything to do with the fact that he is black.

No matter what comes out of the White House about job creation the fact remains there has not been a single day during the Obama administration when there were more Americans working than ANY day of the Bush administration . The only "success" they can cla is that more people work government jobs NOT that more people are working

His voice sounds hollow coming out of the crock he lives in.

When does government create private sector jobs? The only growth industry coming out of this administration is govt itself.
