According to a spokesperson, Pastor Warren will start a series of sermons titled, "How to Get Through What You're Going Through."

Nah, Rick Warren should step down for his heretical ecumenism, his embracing of "fellow believers", such as mormons and catholics. His belief thathe can have fellowship with such people should bring into question anyone else's belief regarding his qualifications to shepherd a flock of Christ's followers.
It is my understanding that his son was no longer part of the household, so the application of that particular standard would be shaky at best, in my opinion.
Agree fully; good comment. Rick Warren is a heretic that is leading others away from truth of the blessed gospel of our Lord and Savior. I also agree with your comment regarding his son.

Should warren step down as a preacher? 1Tim3:4-5

4.He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, 5 for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church?
