Controversial New ‘Religion That Embraces All Religions’

If you’re a part of a specific denomination or religious sect, Living Interfaith Church of Lynnwood is probably unlike anything you’ve seen before. The house of worship, based in Lynnwood, Washington, is run by the Rev. Steven Greenebaum, 65, and, as per its name, the church offers an “interfaith” experience.

So, what, exactly, does that mean?

Here’s how the church defines its theology:

Interfaith is a faith that embraces the teachings of all spiritual paths that lead us to seek a life of compassionate action. Interfaith, as a faith, does not seek to discover which religion or spiritual path is “right.” Rather, it recognizes that we are all brothers and sisters, and that at different times and different places we have encountered the sacred differently. ...

From the book,
The practice of baptizing believers on their confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, as taught and exemplified in the New Testament, was continued in later times. The first clear reference to the baptism of infants is in a writing of Tertullian in 197, in which he condemns the practice...
"The Pilgrim Church" sure looks like being a good read. I've always wanted to get into studying church history.

Aha, so you have it. Well my screen is too small to read anything, and I prefer a book anyway.

I think I've said enough for one day, so I'm off to bed. Good to converse and debate with my brethren in the Lord, even those who imagine me to be unregenerate.

I can see the book already has a problem in that it doesn't show that the Baptist started in 1517 nor recognize Peter as the first pope.

I find it difficult reading online, so I'll stick to the book, thanks Frank. I can't even remember why I asked about that book. But I mentioned it on Sunday night after meeting, and said I felt sure the preacher would have it in his library, but I could not remember the title. That was when he said he had a copy of The Pilgrim Church which he would loan me to read, highly recommending it. Amazing!

Not even worth discussing, it's a cult, ecumenicalism and based on works. Sounds like an Alter to the Unknown god!

"The house of worship, based in Lynnwood, Washington, is run by the Rev. Steven Greenebaum"

This guy Greenebaum is insulting God and detracting from and cheapening the work of Christ. That is blasphemy.

He is also in direct conflict with and undermining the work being done by the Holy Spirit. In that he is implying that the Holy Spirit is not 'completing' the work of God unto salvation then .....

Mk 3:28 Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: 29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

The shine wore off it John! It isn't new enough.

As Christ said,

Matthew 7
13 "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it.
14 "For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.
15 "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
16 "You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they?
17 "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit; but the bad tree bears bad fruit.---NASB

Galatians 4
8 However at that time, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods.
9 But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless elemental things, to which you desire to be enslaved all over again?---NASB
Martin Luther on the above wrote:
Nowadays there are many such idolaters who want to be counted among the true confessors of the Gospel. They may even teach that men are delivered from their sins by the death of Christ. But because they attach more importance to charity than to faith in Christ they dishonor Him and pervert His Word. They do not serve the true God, but an idol of their own invention. The true God has never yet smiled upon a person for his charity or virtues, but only for the sake of Christ's merits....
Or as Martin actually pointed out there are only two religions and all the others are in the vein of Roman Catholics, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses (PDF) and so-called new ones as well.

Quote;
"Interfaith, as a faith, does not seek to discover which religion or spiritual path is “right.”"

Ecumenism by any name is Satan's way of creating a means of "A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump."

And this "lump" will be well and truly leavened by compromise with heresy apostasy and unbiblical ideologies.

It is obvious that no real Christians will be a part of this ecumenical morass. And no doubt their will be a large leaven of the poison of Liberalism within its walls.

2Cor 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
