Russian Forces to Provide “Security” At US Events

As part of a deal signed last week in Washington DC between the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and FEMA, Russian officials will provide “security at mass events” in the United States, a scenario that won’t sit well with Americans wary of foreign assets operating on US soil.

The use of foreign troops or other officials in a law enforcement capacity providing “security” inside the United States is illegal under Posse Comitatus. Capt. William Geddes of the U.S. Army Reserve acknowledged last year that it is against federal law to use US troops to conduct police patrols, despite the fact that such occurrences are becoming increasingly common. The use of foreign troops is an even more clear cut violation of Posse Comitatus.

Last year we reported on how Russian troops were invited to the US as part of a Fort Carson, Colorado drill focused around anti-terror training. Aside from learning how to ...

The following is from the Save a Patriot Fellowship / John Kotmair:

Analysis: Is it true that FEMA signed an agreement to deploy Russian troops to provide security at mass events in the U.S.A.? No, that's a fictional claim based on an actual agreement signed by representatives of FEMA and the Russian Emergency Ministry on June 25, 2013 stating that the two countries will share the expertise of first responders and emergency managers as part of an ongoing collaborative emergency relief program last renewed in 2007. The agencies also agreed to collaborate on improving protections against meteorite impacts and other space threats.

A FEMA spokesperson quoted by the Russian news agency RIA Novosti confirmed that there will be no exchange of security or military personnel under the program.

Misinformative reports about the terms of the agreement issued from standard conspiracy theorist venues such as the European Union Times ("Obama Requests 15,000 Russian Troops for 'Upcoming' Disaster") and Alex Jones' Infowars website ("Russian Forces to Provide 'Security' at U.S. Events"), neither of which provided documentation for their hyperbolic claims other than the sources I have linked to above.

There is no seperate salvation for the Jews. Christians need to go back to Galatians and understand what Paul is saying. Our focus needs to be the kingdom of God, not the Isreal. God will deal with Isreal and her unbelief. John needs to repent for his sins for leading the Christian church to support the war against Iraq. Let Isreal fight her own wars. There is no need to spill American blood for Isreal. Dispensationalism has led the American church down this road and neutered the minds of American christians. It is time for Dallas Theological Seminary to repent before God for spreading Dispensational heresies throughout the world.
Well said.

Rufus, right on target.

"And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshipped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." Why did you include Fox News Channel in that list? Fox News Channel is a conservative Republican network whereas those other networks listed are liberal Democratic networks. I watch Fox News Channel because I am a conservative Republican.
The liberal democrat outlets propagandize towards the killing of children and the elderly domestically. The conservative republican outlets propagandize towards killing people in foreign lands. The devil doesn't care which side you choose as both do his bidding.

"Pravda," means "Truth" in Russian, let's hope it's a different truth than that given out under the Communist regime. However, journalists in Russia have been murdered for telling the truth in Russia.

I wonder if Russian troops would be any better at stopping illegal aliens from crossing the border than our Border Patrol?

I looked it up and it seemed to be linked to the Russian equivalent of our agency, making this seem highly credible to me.
Its too bad we have to react emotionally and not just consider the information before us.
People were called crazy for knowing about the NSA programs and trying to warn the public for years. after years of it, its finally admitted, and by our apathy is consented to.
Just out of curiosity, what should be done after considering the information?
