Is Anthony Kennedy 'the first gay justice'?

Justice Anthony Kennedy was among the first of his colleagues to arrive Wednesday at the U.S. Supreme Court. His chambers lit up several hours before the last-day release of monumental rulings on same-sex marriage.

There was little doubt that later that morning, this quietly powerful justice would be having a major say in the legal, political, and social path of gay rights moving forward.

"If Bill Clinton was 'the first black president,' Anthony Kennedy has now firmly secured his place in history as 'the first gay justice,'" said Michael Dorf, a law professor at Cornell University and a former Kennedy law clerk. "Justice Kennedy makes clear that he not only accepts, but welcomes the task of writing majestic opinions affirming the dignity of gay persons and couples." ...

Quite a rogue's gallery isn't it? Remember none of these people were known as Judicial heavy-weights, they were supposedly picked to match the beliefs of the Presidents that picked them. I think Roberts is the only one that has any particularly good legal credentials.

Ah, Clinton the first "Black President," now he may have been the 2nd Catholic President, since he went to parochial school, Should Roman Catholicism really be classified as a Christian religion? -- No. (PDF) and has shown they typical morality of an attendee of such schools, but calling Kennedy the "1st Queer Justice," hints at other things than a philosophical viewpoint. It is really bad enough that he is Catholic and as such, unless God graciously changes his path, Is A Catholic Christian An Oxymoron? (PDF) he is heading for hell, as indeed all the rest of the Supreme Court no matter what their view on Homosexuality--unless they repent and accept Christ.

Perhaps soon we will hear majestic opinions affirming the dignity of child molesters and adulterers. One sexual sin certainly is no less dignified than another.

a few humble men who love the Lord could turn this country around in such a court.... they who follow the pitfalls of the flesh lack understanding and wisdom and are going their own way. and they, like us, have to live in the world that they created. it doesn't look pretty.

They are everywhere! I have often wondered where in the world they all came from all of a sudden, but I gues they have all just been doing their thing in secrecy for a long time. Afterall, homosexuality was considered a mental disorder not all that long ago. Yea, now they can be free..woo-hoo. Funny how times have changed in that the staunch heterosexuals are now the haters; intolerant and divisive. What's horrifying us that the next generation is growing up to believe that anything goes; being either taught to be gay or tolerant of the lifestyle.
