Biden: America 'on the verge' of moving 'even further' on gay marriage
Vice President Biden applauded the Supreme Court's rulings earlier this week overturning the Defense of Marriage Act and California's Proposition 8, saying that "we're on the verge of seeing America move even further" on same-sex marriages.
"I think we'll see the day when it is no longer a debate about whether or not same-sex couples can be married and whether or not they deserve every single civil right every other married couple deserves," Biden says in the latest "Being Biden" episode, a periodic series posted to the White House's website.
Biden heralded the Supreme Court's ruling as "a great day for every gay and lesbian couple and it should be a great day for every straight couple in America....
Haven't thought about it in that way exactly, but it is true..we have won through Christ's death on the cross..the last enemy death was fought and destroyed. So we don't have to live in bondage of fear of death or of what man can do to us anymore.

I feel its important to note its not we 'will win.' Its we HAVE won. Pauls quote of Romans 10 "How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" Is taken from is Is 52 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.
Its a Gospel of PEACE, not a gospel of dispensational fantasy battles between good and evil where humans play a deciding part.
Mike is right on target. God defined marriage and it is not subject to man's revision. We lead little ones astray if we refer to this perversion as "gay marriage" or "same sex marriage." It ain't marriage any more than I can suddenly declare I am a black man (i am not) or that my birddog is my child.

And why should we care what they think? We are not on defense, they are. What they believe is trumped by what is true. They call us bigots for keeping the course? They are the bigots, and the haters. We shouldn't be allowing them to set the premises for the argument, nor should we be recognizing "gay marriage" even as an acceptable terminology. It is no more that a theft of definition, from which they then call for "equality."
But don't you get it, they don't care what the Bible says anymore..they don't believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God..they don't believe the Bible was written by men moved on by the Holy Ghost and has remained the same without any changes all these years..that prophecy has already been fulfilled and doing so even today and more coming that should bring those not ready to their knees..lastly we have a President who has said we are no longer a Christian nation.I am persuaded that He is able to keep that which i've committed unto Him against that Day.

The "one-man, one-woman" mantra is a totally inadequate defense of the true nature of marriage without explaining WHY it is that God created them male and female and bid them "be fruitful and multiply." If marriage is only about mutually enjoyed companionship, it is no wonder that homosexuals see this as bigotry and demand the right to "marry." 6/26/2013 4:46 PM
Genesis 2:18 "And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him."
Genesis 2:22-24 "And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."
The purpose for the relationship is found in v18. The gender relationship is given in the other verses. Those who bleat "bigotry" do so out of ignorance and hatred. There is no marriage other than that which God has made.
Christians voted in SSM wrote: Evangelical Protestant blogger and father of nine, Erich Heidenreich: As I have written elsewhere, and often, if marriage is not intrinsically about procreation, then there is no reason secular laws should exclude homosexuals from enjoying the same designation and its attendant legal benefits.
With all due respect, you forget that marriage is an institution set up by God Himself (Gen. 1), positively affirmed by Jesus Himself (Matt. 19:4-6), and is a picture of Christ and His Church (Eph. 5:23-24). This is not a reality only true for those who are of the faith, but transcends all people, believer and unbeliever alike (just as God is the God of all unbelieving Jews and Gentiles, per Romans 1-3). Your post lacks any biblical reason for supporting SSM and provides only secular-societal reasoning, based not on fact but emotion. Marriage is intrinsically about God's glory. Your reasoning opens the flood-gates for the "union" of many types of individuals (polyamory, etc.) because it lacks any firm foundation on what marriage exactly is, especially according to biblical parameters. I understand where you are coming from, and no true Christian is looking to be bigoted in any way. We just happen to love His glory more...
Tonight I read Psalm 37, and I feel it's appropriate to share verses 7 through 9:
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land."
Ah, and so spoke Pope John XXIV! (Whatever the number would be John Y. ) However, the The Papacy is a political animal as are the Bishops, and they'll let those in power have their way. Besides how do we know or not their priests make them say a few extra Hail Mary? (PDF) for Penance?
It sounds like the amendment that is in the Nebraska Constitution,
"Only marriage between a man and a woman shall be valid or recognized in Nebraska. The uniting of two persons of the same sex in a civil union, domestic partnership or other similar same-sex relationship shall not be valid or recognized in Nebraska."
Needs to be placed in the national Constitution, with of course "Nebraska," changed to "United States of America."
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2Ti 3:1-7 KJV)
For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; (Rom 1:26-28 KJV)

The time has come when the Catholic Church should excommunicate Biden, Pelosi and every other Democrat politician and every lay Catholic who support abortion and homosexuality.
Mr. Biden has got it wrong-- its not that the day is coming when there will no longer be a debate about whether same sex couples can marry. That day is here-- and has been here for a very, very long time. . .ever since God instituted marriage in the Garden of Eden. Since that day, there never has been a debate, for God pre-empted all debate on the matter by saying that "a man shall leave his father and mother be joined to his wife." Mr. Biden, have you not read that? Do you not know that in the beginning God made man male and female, and for that reason, he ordained marriage? The only debate about what marriage is, therefore, is one going on in your own darkened mind and soul.
"Vice President Biden applauded the Supreme Court's rulings earlier this week overturning the Defense of Marriage Act and California's Proposition 8, saying that "we're on the verge of seeing America move even further" on same-sex marriages."
It's a strange thing when Mr Biden speaks. He moves his lips, and effluent gushes forth.
Oh brother...to the Blogger: Homosexual marraige isn't simply about companionship, and those who protest are certainly not bigots. How about the bigotry against biblical Christianity? Those "poor" homosexuals get everything they want and it's only when they don't get more that they cry foul, start blubbering, and throw daisies at people as they pound their dainty fists in the air, rub their eyes and go, "waaaaaaa" For me, this goes way beyond companionship, but rather, extends to what these people do with each other (and, gross) behind closed doors. Gay love, gay companionship, gay attraction=abomination. We all sin but there are different types and differing levels of sin and in Hell as well
I disagree entirely "Christians voted in SSM". The law should not cater to one's preference or appeal. It should be about law.
Gays can get married. In every state. You try to get a marriage license in Missouri and they won't ask you if you're gay. Gay men have full legal rights to get married to women. Lesbians have full legal rights to get married to men. Equal rights.
But they complain because that doesn't appeal to them, and so they are in the process of rewriting laws based on preference and not law.
It must be added that gay men cannot marry men in Missouri. However, a straight man also cannot marry a man. So again, we have equal rights already. Any further attempt to procure "rights" is just elevating what appeals to the level of what is right.
