President Barack Obama on Thursday praised the Supreme Court's ruling on same-sex marriage as a "victory for American democracy" but clashed with his African host over gay rights in a sign of how far the movement has to go internationally.
Senegalese President Macky Sall rebuffed Obama's call for Africans to give gays equal rights under the law.
"We are still not ready to decriminalize homosexuality," Sall said, while insisting that the country is "very tolerant" and needs more time to digest the issue without pressure. "This does not mean we are homophobic."...
Obama's administration considers homosexuality a human right, so they are going to have problems with African countries. Also, Muslim countries in AFrica consider homosexuality a sin, punishable by death (as per the Koran). A long time ago someone compared the descendants of Jonathan Edwards with descendants of an ordinary criminal of the time. Edwards line had lots of judges, ministers, and the other guy had a bunch of ne-erdowells. It would be interesting to see the same thing done with an African who didn't get sent to the Caribbean or Brazil or USA as a slave with those who did. I would bet the slaves did better than the natives. Also, missing from all this apology tour is the fact that Muslims helped promote the slave trade and still do today in Africa. A recent book, "White Gold" tells of how they raided even England to steal whites for their own slavery.

Good point. Whether its issues within the US or abroad, such as famine, massacres, our enemies plotting to murder us, the systematic destruction of our economy, king OBama chooses to use his influence to fight for gay rights in Africa. Just a short 18 months ago, he was opposed to gay marraige, but wanted to procure more votes to lock in his 2nd term. All the while, attributing his flipflop to the distressing gay rights questions posed to him by his daughters. He has been fighting so hard for them that I am beginning to wonder if his newfound sympathy is because he, himself, has found a new manfriend which is causing him confusion. Maybe a handome secret service agent has won his heart.
Amen we have met the enemy and it is us. Of all the items going on in Africa what does our president bring up gay rights. How ignorant is that. As if this were the greatest problem known to mankind. Corinthians 2 4:4 says"the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers." Always the community activist looking for the next great injustice to spout platitudes God help us.
Down with OBama. Prior to the elections, there were some very heated threads on this forum...almost to the point where some seemed to hate and want to kill others, given an opportunity, because they opposed Mr Obama. I'm wondering, if anyone wants to comment, how they truly feel about Mr OBama now, after having voted for him. I don't believe him to be the antichrist, but certainly an antichrist.
