One in four of those across America who support President Obama believe the tea party is the biggest terror threat to the United States, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll.
The survey was conducted over last weekend and included 1,000 likely voters. It has a margin of error of 3 percentage points, with a 95 percent level of confidence.
It asks a number of questions about America’s security on topics include nuclear weapons, an anti-missile defense shield – and just exactly who is the nation’s top terror threat.
Twenty-six percent of Obama’s supporters say that would be the tea party – the grass-roots political effort to limit the size of government, get bureaucrats out of the average family’s life and crack down on corruption and graft....
I think that the point extolled by jpw and made by Disciple is not such a great point. The TEA party (Taxed Enough Already) is not made up of just the Christian right. The so called Christian right that supported Hitler would be considered modernist to us. The TEA party is advocating a return to the law and restraints of our founding document, Hitler advocated no such thing but was more like the current "change" agenda. I am not trying to put TEA party on a pedestal but don't think that the comparison is accurate.
Just a word of caution to my American friends on this suject. Nothing against the Tea Party per se but just for your info - if you look at pre-war Germany, the bulk of Hitler's support was from conservative Christians on the "right" the so-called "religious right." Of course he hated Christianity and just used them. It is a cautionary historical lesson however for Christians to be drawn into these things. See my recent blog on this subject called, "The Satanic Roots of Adolf Hitler" http://www.wordsofthislife.ca/2013/05/this-post-appeared-as-series-in.html
Yes that too . Dunk.,the church is asleep. How you can tell that is by looking at all the news and the laws that are being passed. We've lost our credibility, power and influence as believers, if that were not true the church and world would not be in the state it's in. God forgive us.
