Obama’s Climate Change Speech Ignores Science & EU Experience

President Obama was playing to his most extreme “green” constituency in his climate and energy speech at Georgetown University today, blasting global warming skeptics as “flat-earth society” ostriches with their heads in the sand. President Obama said he does not have "patience for anyone who denies that this problem is real."

"We don't have time for a meeting of the flat-Earth society," Obama said. "Sticking your head in the sand might make you feel safer, but it's not going to protect you from the coming storm." Obama claimed that the call for urgent action to stem the threat of global warming is based on the "overwhelming judgment of science, of chemistry, of physics, and millions of measurements."

The president apparently has not gotten the memos; his Oval Office staff must be keeping him in the dark concerning very important recent developments in climate science and even more significant ...

UPS, for some of us it certainly would be a major impact. Nuclear power has been cost effective in this state, but then we have to get fuel form outside the state to run power plants. I know a person who was an engineer for our local power company, who pointed out that wind power was really just a "feel good" source of energy. The wind isn't all that reliable. Well, unless we could the Unicameral in session the year around and then we would have constant source of hot air all year.

If you look at the social commentary as well you'll find as you read down the list of that latest URL of mine, you find some rather uncomplimentary comments.

Obama's Weather plan and Who It Effects.
From the Jim Lincoln article, "Obama's plan can be carried out "without a major impact to customers or the economy."

The last link estimated it will cost the family of 4 about an extra $1000 a year, wonder if they will think that is not a major impact on their income.

Does this mean the President could be wrong.
Or does he care?
Or is he just lying like a politician to try and score political points with the uninitiated?
He desperately needs something, anything to distract from his admin being caught over and over with pants down. Most transparent admin ever, he said it would be. He didn't realize it was himself we'd be seeing through. Even his msm support group can't stop it.

I'm definitely going to say something nice about President Obama (better cover your eyes and ears ). He was the first President in 30 or more years who authorized a new nuclear plant! Ok, so it supports his climate idea. At least he rubbed the oil and coal barons' noses in it--if we're lucky those appendages will glow.

Worrying too much about coal or oil use, is useless because the new industrial powers are going to use those fuels, so what the U.S. and Europe does will have little effect besides it's, To The Horror Of Global Warming Alarmists, Global Cooling Is Here. This was in Forbes magazine by the way.

President Obama's statement did muddy the water some about the Keystone pipeline. By the way, I'm not hostile to it, though the propaganda about it needs to be cut back to it will benefit Canada and its oil barons and Texas oil barons, and most of that oil will be exported. However, I'm rather indifferent to that, and Canada is one of our best allies, so put it in.

If Keystone isn't put in, it will help the railroad cos. in Canada and the U.S., and China may end up being the biggest beneficiary.
