Kirk facing new financial blow as more congregations intend to quit
THE Church of Scotland is facing another blow to its finances after three more evangelical congregations signalled their intention to leave over gay ordination.
About ¬£400,000 in collections would be lost if Stornoway High Church ‚Äď one of the largest and richest on the Western Isles and which provides more than ¬£150,000 a year ‚Äď Tarbert on Harris (¬£70,000) and Kirkmuirhill in Lanark (¬£150,000) were to quit.
There are already concerns over £1 million in givings that could be lost by the Kirk.
Six congregations are to quit after plans to allow the ordination of gay ministers were agreed at the General Assembly in May. The decision still has to be ratified....
quit you like men wrote: There's a very simple, however subtle, 2-step process that they all are following: (a.) Change Bible doctrine by allowing female pastors (husband & wife co-pastors, guest preachers, female scholars, etc) and then (b.) invite immorality by approving an openly gay pastor.
And don't forget the other thing which the wicked do to make this abomination acceptable. That is change the english language into a lie and use it to deceive. Where 'gay' used to mean carefree, happy and brightly coloured - it now means perverted (to those who can see).

"Christopher Martin, elder at Stornoway High, said the 200 people who attended a meeting on Tuesday night all agreed they wished to break away, discontented by the way the Kirk is handling the debate."
It was in the early 1990's that I left the Kirk when I became more aware of the differences occurring between Bible doctrine and the Kirk's doctrines and thinking. These were early days in my Christian life and only gradually did I begin to see and become independant of the churches modern direction which it proceeded upon.
I imagine there are many in the pews who are still ignorant of the Biblical stance and how this abomination is an offence to God and true Christianity. Their problem is a lack of serious study of Scripture together with a misplaced trust in the eldership more specifically the ministry side of it.
Today the Kirk has too much of a one sided influence in the pulpit which is distinctively Liberal and therefore unBiblical. Satan has gained control of the national churches of England and Scotland, therefore ignorance and Liberalism being his instruments, he is building an apostate counterfeit church in Britain.
I pray more and more real believers will remove themselves from this worldly hypocrisy, the CofE and the CofS.
