Holyrood Abbey Church to leave Kirk in gay protest
THE congregations of two Edinburgh churches are planning to leave the Kirk in protest at moves to allow the ordination of openly gay clergy.
The elders of Holyrood Abbey Church, on London Road near Meadowbank Stadium, have made overtures to the Church of Scotland’s leaders to start the process of leaving and yesterday it also emerged that the minister and elders of St Catherine’s Argyle Parish Church of Scotland in the capital are also seeking to break away.
The strongly evangelical congregation of Holyrood Abbey Church will vote on a split within the coming weeks. The decision was announced by the church’s minister, the Rev Philip Hair, in a sermon on Sunday.
Yesterday he said: “It is with great sadness and sorrow that, following the recent decision of the General Assembly on same-sex relationships and the ministry, the elders have come to a common mind, unanimously so, that we should begin...

Any Christian worth his/her salt should have long since left the Kirk. Now that Liberalism has taken over the CofS/CofE Britain has no real national Christian church. The policy of these organisations is ditch the Bible - keep the sin.
GOD states; Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: 25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
Britain is defiled according to God.
Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
The churches of England and Scotland have "changed the truth into a lie" - Thus does the Word of God condemn them.
It's a pity these churches didn't start the act of separation sooner.

Biblical love tells the truth and acts upon the truth. It is not a demonstration of love to compromise the truth by associating or fellowshipping with false teachers, personally or privately. The believer should not be doing anything to support false teaching in any way. To do so is to participate in that ministry. Participation is a compromise of one's commitment and loyalty to God, His word, and His love....
