Celebrity couple Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar recently announced that they would consider adopting to add to their family of 19 children (plus a handful of grandchildren). Michelle told People magazine that she and her husband have "an open heart" toward the idea.
But can a Christian family ever be too big? Christian leaders' responses are posted below, on a scale starting with "yes" and ending with "no."
"Overpopulation, overuse of resources, human-induced climate change, and pollution should be considered, as should one's physical and emotional health and ability to provide for a family. The decision should be made to promote 'justice and righteousness.'" Ray Van Leeuwen, professor of biblical studies, Eastern University...

Yes, the overpopulation of Arkansas, the children making the sea levels rise, and causing pollution by breathing, should be considered, according to the professor. How else to promote justice and righteousness? Libs are such dunderheads.
It must have been simpler when we didn't have so many choices? Mind you, Adam and Eve only had the one choice and even then they managed to mis-choose.
The Hebrew people had many healthy children, and I have read edifying stories of the lives of the early missionaries - and they are constantly thanking the Lord for the vigour of their plentiful broods. Death was taken as Gods will. Life as blessing.
I see only one comment from the blurb that SA had for Ray Van Leeuwen, is the ability to provide for the family. It is not the society's duty to take care of people's children.
I think the mother can no longer physically have more children since it might kill her. I'm glad, however, you folks should now want Obamacare so that large families won't have that worry
So, no, there are plenty of good people who want to adopt children, so let them have those needy children. These folks are beginning to sound a little greedy? Now if they have a large organic farm (Do they jpw?) you can never have enough hands to help with the chores.
yes, children are a blessing and a blessed hope for the future of society here on earth. they are to be something we celebrate. why celebrate death and a dying people? why celebrate destroying life? it is easy to destroy but it is God that gives new life, that is in the physical and the spiritual.
the abortionist I talked with basically supported eugenics (obviously), he saw no other way to solve the problems of the useless eaters having baby after baby. He knew GMs would make people sick and stuck on meds all the time. He knew of Agenda 21, and the taking of the land and moving the gm people to cities.
they know this. wish the Christian community would understand, its their children.
people who compare gm and non gm on lab animals find within 3 generations they are sterile. the effects continue on because of the genetic issues.
besides the swollen intestines at autopsy.
this is a very important topic!
the abortionist did not know that another road, though less travelled is Christ! and that even young people, in their sinful lifestyles can be redeemed and changed in heart and mind through the Holy Spirit unto Holy Righteous Living! In fact, he was surprised that many young women will enjoy the council of an older woman unto righteous living!
It's great to have big families and the more children the better. We have four children and are submissive to God if He wants us to have more. The biggest problem with this family, is a lot of the children are adopted. Those of us who have had experience with Child Protection services, know that children are taken away from parents for lies and false accusations and adopted out to other families. We almost became one of those families. It happens all the time all over the world (the States and the UK being the worst offenders), and it's wrong to take children away from parents unless the parents are genuinely not willing/able to take care of them. It's great to have many babies and glorify God through your willingness to procreate, but to do it on the backs of broken families is just plain wrong. I am not saying this is the case with this family, but chances are there are parents out there right now weeping because those were their babies ripped out of their arms by a cruel and unjust system.
Are we asking this question in Muslim counties? Because of there agenda's is using our ignorance of birth rates and repopulation. This is one of their metrics to determine how long and at what what rate they need to multiple to take over a nation without firing a shot It only takes a 100 years to replace a culture with a birth rate of 2% or less.
Mr. Feodor Vassilyev and his first wife, whose name is unknown, holds the record for most children a couple has parented. She gave birth to a total of 69 children. She gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quadruplets between 1725 and 1765, in a total of 27 births. 67 of the 69 children born were said to have survived infancy.
