Fukushima radiation caused little damage to health

What a relief. It looks as if the local population and most of the workers exposed to radiation from the Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear accident in March 2011 will not have ill health as a result. That's the conclusion of the most comprehensive investigation yet into the likely health effects of the world's worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl in 1986.

"The actions taken by the authorities to protect the public, such as evacuation and sheltering, significantly reduced the radiation exposures," says Wolfgang Weiss, chairman of the panel of 80?scientists that produced a report on the incident for the UN Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation. ...

Hello Anne! yes, this is very disturbing, compared to Chernobyl this is much larger.

here we sat judging the Russians while they gave their children zeolyte in their food (which removes radiation) and admitted what was going on decades ago.

here we have the "free" nations, all of us affected by this, and the word is "all is great". the "feel good" generation of Disney, where if you just think a good thought, the world is a great place.

but no substance.

there was that navy ship where the military guys were suing for damage to themselves...

this is truly an international incident and ongoing.

another thing I watched was the EPA readjusting "acceptable" levels of radiation on our public to higher levels as the storms came in on the west coast.

I will remember to pray for our missionaries in Japan. This is truly Orwellion.

jpw, you are more correct than you know! We have good missionary friends there and the medical issues they are dealing with are straight out of the radiation treatment SOP's. The government in their local has told them it is just a "genetic regional problem" - except they never had these issues before the fall out. They are used to the wild propaganda but have said this time it is beyond absurd!

what a tragic bunch of propoganda.

I've read the statistics on the children's thyroid disasters.

the counts of radiation that came from there all over the west, including the fish.

this is called cleaning up the tracks.

none of the workers became ill? these is some of the worst propoganda I've ever seen.
