High School Valedictorian Stuns Audience After He Rips Up Speech and Delivers the Lord’s Prayer Instead — Wild Applause Follows
Roy Costner IV, a former public school student from South Carolina, stunned the audience at his high school graduation last weekend when he ripped up his previously-approved valedictorian speech, going on, instead, to speak about God — and then deliver the Lord’s prayer.

The act, which drew loud applause, was taken in opposition to the School District of Pickens County’s decision to axe prayers from graduation events, Christian News reports. Officials said that they had recently received complaints from atheist activists and church-state separatists, leading to the removal of invocations from all school events.

But that didn’t stop Costner. As he spoke, Costner went from merely mentioning “the Lord” to jumping right into the well-known prayer. ...

But, Mike of N.Y., you heard of the old saying, "...trying to get blood out of a rock,"? Well, I have to repeat somethings which will be new to first time viewers and it is also hard work to get blood into a rock!

By the way, considering there's a[n in]famous Jesuit University in Omaha, Nebraska, by the name of Creighton U., which this article came from, Myths [(?) (!)] about Homosexuality. This school poisons future teacher's minds with such nonsense. Yes, this outfit has an Educational department.

Mike of N.Y., it's wingnuts of the GOP, who want to sell their souls to the devil, and jump into bed with the Romish Church, The Ecumenical Jihad: War Without A Winner.

By the way, if our well-known Romist visitor, John Y., happens here, I really need to get you to see--The Ecumenical Jihad: War Without A Winner. It's what you need, John.

Notice How He Gave The ROMAN-"CATHOLIC" Version Of THE LORD'S PRAYER & Not The PROTESTANT Version ?

"Forgive Us Our Tresspasses..."

Heck, I Used To Vainly & Repetitiously Pray That Prayer From The Time I Attended Roman-"Catholic" Daycare/ Preschool In The Early-1960s & All The Way Until I Prepared For My "First Communion" In The Mid-'60s & After; And, All The Way Up Until I Was Authorized-Biblically-/-Holy-Spiritually "Born Again" According To St. John 3:1-16 (In The Authorized King James Bible) In The Mid-1970s !

What "Gets Me" Is That All That Time Since My Human Natural Physical Birth & Up To My Divine & Authorized Holy-Biblical-/-Holy-Spiritual Rebirth; I Was Praying The Aforsaid "LORD'S PRAYER (Roman-'Catholic' Version)" Indirectly--If Not Directly-- To LUCIFER, SATAN &-OR THE DEVIL Instead Of To THE LORD JESUS CHRIST--Because I Wasn't Yet Changed From A Spiritual "Child Of The Devil" Into A Spiritual "Child Of GOD" Via THE SECOND (NEW) BIRTH At My Holy-Spiritual & Eternal-Salvation Experienced On December 17, 1975 At Approx. 9:00 pm In My Living Room At 105 N. Western Ave. In Aurora, IL, U.S.A. !

I'll Never Forget That Day As Long As I Live !

**For The First Time In My Life I Trusted In CHRIST'S BLOOD For My ETERNAL SALVATION & NOT My BABY-WATER-'BAPTISM' !

Hhmmm
Definite Democrat tendencies therefore seeds of socialist and possibly Liberal inherent leaning? The traits of the nature come to the fore eventually.
Jim perhaps being an "independent" is ultimately impossible since the mind will make decisions and consequently display the direction of the man.

Just another example of Repub. rotten apple.
1. If you think my pointing out your exclusion of making noise about your king is badmouthing him, think more. Don't be so sensitive.

2. He's not Caesar in this country. Do a little historical research, then comment about Caesar.

3. Bush can do no more damage. I've complained enough about Repubs who act like Democrats, dhs, nsa, etc. I'll leave the silly, outdated, pointless personal attacks on him to you. But compared to the damage wrought by your king, he was far better than what we have now.

btw, maybe you should read the immigration link again.

President Obama today is scheduled to address members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, a group that has recently criticized the president on immigration. Last month, the caucus urged the president to take executive action on immigration by extending deportation relief to certain groups of unauthorized immigrants, such as parents of U.S.-born children. Some immigrant advocates have dubbed Obama the “deporter in chief” over the fact that his administration has deported about as many immigrants in five years as the George W. Bush administration deported in eight years.

Your calling to make noise about what is wrong seems to be selective, in that it excludes the wrong the president happens to do. That psych degree must be confusing you, Jim. In the Robert Schuller thread, you criticized John Y for supporting a moral cesspool, and mixing evil with good. Ever heard of projection? Of course you have.

A consideration

This news thread is from 2013
Perhaps it might be good and look at significant news reports from year ago

What was said then, warnings, concern of Evangelical cowardice and apathy and compare what was said then to where we are today

For some of us it might mean some serious repentance and getting things right with God now before things get even worse

Ezekiel 3
17 "Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman to the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from Me.
18 "When I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die'; and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.
19 "Yet if you have warned the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered yourself.
20 "Again, when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I place an obstacle before him, he shall die; since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.---NASB

That will give even a Calvinistic man such as myself something to think about.

I enjoyed the video.
Please remember to keep this young man in prayers. Satan seeks whom he may devour. This was a bold step against Satan's kingdom.
Pray that our Lord will strengthen him in the inward man so that he'll stand in times of adversity.

I never stated I refuse to associate with Christians. When did I ever state that? I meant what I stated that if I was Costner IV and not shy to communicate before an audience I would have done what Costner IV did. It is true that I don't make my priest cognizant of my beliefs but that is because it is none of his business what my beliefs are. Even if I were to attend an Evangelical Protestant Church I would not discuss anything with the minister because it would not be any of his business what my beliefs are. I would not engage in verbal communication with anybody and I would not be involved in any church actities if I were to attend an Evangelical Protestant Church.

All Protestant and Roman Catholic Churches together make up the “professing” Church. The “true” church is only a small part of the “professing” church, which includes both born again believers and mere professors of Christ. Jesus called believers “the wheat” and mere professors, who are sons of the evil one, “the tares” (Mt. 13:24-30, 36-43). Unless the tares experience the second birth, they will one day be deathly horrified when they hear Jesus declare from His Great White Throne: “I never knew you, depart from Me” (Mat. 7:23).

Praise the Lord Jesus Christ that Costner IV spoke about God and delivered the Lord's Prayer. I would have done the same thing.
