Diet soda habit as bad for teeth as meth addiction

Heavy consumption of diet soda can damage teeth as badly as methamphetamine or crack cocaine, a new study contends.

"You look at it side-to-side with 'meth mouth' or 'coke mouth,' it is startling to see the intensity and extent of damage more or less the same," said Dr. Mohamed Bassiouny, a professor of restorative dentistry at the Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia.

Methamphetamine, crack cocaine and soda -- sweetened or not -- are all highly acidic and can cause similar dental problems, Bassiouny said in a study published recently in the journal General Dentistry. ...

It is a logical fallacy to say you previously existed. Just as it is saying you exist now.

Phal Osee wrote:
I do not exist where I previously existed. Now I exist elswhere. Who I was in my previous existence is no longer the me that now exists in a different form in another location writing this post. In my new existence I come to a new conclusion, that is, that which previously was is now no longer, since time has evolved. Therefore the new reality is that I can now prove I exist in the form of mortal on the same planet as you who read this revelation.

Phai Ossee are we suppose to become supporter of tar water also--as the Bishop of Cloyne would have it? I have to make jpw again, I think this is goofy of course. Yeah, I love my --pasteurized-- cheese and milk, but to make jpw ecstatic again, this WSJ piece (get it while it's hot, because WSJ doesn't leave articles up!) One Small Win for Raw Milk.

Neil, prove that you are Neil and that you are real and that you are responsible for typing letters. It is a logical fallacy to say something is absurd.

Mike, you are not real because you cannot prove you are.

John, you're goofy. Although I really can't prove you're goofy.

Not all poisons smell bad, or else rulers like Pharoah need not have had food-tasters on the payroll. So you don't have Biblical proof, you just have subjective impressions to go by.

BTW "Phal Osee" made a universal assertion that nothing can be proved. This is self-refuting, absurd.

Neil -- the proof is that it smells bad or as Jim mentioned in another post, makes someone want to ride a horse to the Great Wall of China.

as Paul talked about his spirit and flesh being in battle, but he subjegated all things under the Holy Spirit, even his flesh... the flesh including the lusts and cravings for things that are self-destructive even euphoric, as many of these chemicals are.

Neil -- if defiled and poisonous substances enter a man, what comes out will be nasty as well.
Can you adduce any Scripture to prove that? Plus, you Beg the Question by assuming certain substances are necessarily poisonous, which because of ambiguous causality (which I pointed out below), you cannot prove.

My point was, there are more serious matters than what people ingest. Didn't Jesus say it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles the man, but what comes out? Sure we should mind what we eat, but science can't prove anything either way because it is logically flawed, so caution is warranted.

So go ahead, experiment & delete certain foods suspected of causing trouble for you. But causality is impossible to prove.

aspartame = discharge from genetically modified ecoli.

bovine growth hormone
round up
gm grains and oils
agent orange
saccharin industry for soda pop

M Protection Act -- the judicial system is below them and cannot stop their production

CA legislation = non labeling, spent millions to stop people from knowing their product is in the food.

and Amish farmer (with healthy happy customers) recently acquitted of threat of jail time for selling raw milk.

so M is above the law, and farmer who causes no harm with happy customers is guilty until proven innocent (and possible shutting down local farmers).... quite like a witch hunt... raw milk is the new prohibition.

just to make this full circle -- some say M got its beginnings from the same soda industry when adding saccharin.

something's a bit off when drinking discharge of genetically modified ecoli (patented I may add) is ok but buying milk for the family is contraband.

jpw writes:
"could it be the aspartame? how does that effect the mind and body?"

Aside from the usual damaging effects of sugar, I have always understood aspartame to be THE problem, Jennifer Penelope W-something. Do you all know that Coka-cola, in its early days, had real cocainein it which ensured the addictions enmasse? That's probably old news to you, but I just thought about it while reading the article.
