New Federal Bill Seeks to Punish Adoption Agencies That Give Priority to Married, Heterosexual Couples

Adoption agencies receiving funding from the government that deny prospective foster and adoptive families the right to a child based on sexual orientation, gender identity or marital status could face penalties under a new federal bill being pushed by a group of U.S. lawmakers and gay activists.

The Every Child Deserves a Family Act which proposes to cut funding from any government dependent agency that rejects a prospective foster or adoptive family based on sexual orientation, gender identity and marital status was reintroduced in Washington last Tuesday. The bill is being sponsored by Democrats Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York and Rep. John Lewis of Georgia. Republican Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of Florida is also behind it. ...

That's just from memory. I know there's more.
Jesus did not mince words.
He died for His own. His own hear the voice of their Shepherd. There are no second rate in Christ's Kingdom.
I will add my name to the chorus that reaffirms Christ is in total agreement of the ENTIRE Biblical narrative(even the politically incorrect parts) and not just the Gospels. "2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God"

John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. .. 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

To say He died for the sins of the world (to create a remnant of believers) just to make the Pharasees jealous, what a terrible undermining of Christ's sufferings, I cannot understand such things.

The Lord Jesus is sending the workers of iniquity away, and where exactly is He sending them if He is not sending them to the place of their eternal punishment?

John 3:35,36 "The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (NKJV)

John 5:22 "For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son." (NKJV)
You might want to rethink that one, Lisa.

Yes John UK, the posts by Lisa smacked of

Yep, that is precisely what Lisa means when she uses the expression. The rest of us are all Pharisees, religious bigots, do not have the Spirit, and the Jesus we follow couldn't possibly be derogatory towards us "dog" Gentiles.

She is obviously influenced by the charismatic movement, for whom anyone not charismatic is a dead Christian going to dead churches and following a dead faith.

I agree that derogatory terms such as "homo", or whatever shouldn't be used when referencing homosexuals, but don't use the word "gay" when referring to them? I am a "so-called Christian" because I might use the term " gay people" and because I use it, I may not truly be saved? Have I unwittingly formed a league with Satan who wants everyone to use his word, "gay"?
Semantics and very judgemental, I think. There are several examples below and one more would be Christ calling the woman riding a beast, a whore, and there are others.

Hey Christopher, I have fallen in these traps on SA before, I think that you and Ms. Lisa should try to remember 2 things:
1. It's the internet and people think that gives them a license to be rude since you are not face to face.
2. Many on SA express their opinion as fact!!!

It is an act of kindness to let sinners know exactly how they stand with God. They are obnoxious to him, rebellious, Satan's slaves, guilty before God and worthy of eternal fire. They have broken God's laws, rejected his Son, lived only for themselves, and condemned already.

But God....

But God has chosen to save sinners. His Son died in the place of sinners. His Son has experienced the awful separation from God at Calvary where, on the cross, he satisfied God's justice on behalf of all those who would believe on him. The ungodly can be made godly. The lost can be found. The unloved can find themselves loved by God.

This is a far cry from Nick Gumball's gospel. He reckoned a sinner could be likened to a TV set with poor reception, and just needed the aerial plugged in. So much for Alpha Course spirituality!

Progress will only be made when a sinner sees himself as God sees him - wretched, poor, blind, naked.....UNGODLY!

And grace can save the very chief of sinners: murderers, sodomites, thiefs, blasphemers, persecutors. But it will take great grace, and God does not give such grace to all men. Are there few that be saved? With man, it is impossible, but not with God.

I don't expect you to accept the teaching of verses like this, because you have a relationship in which you learn things contrary to the teaching of the Bible. And you still think its the Holy Spirit teaching you?!

Suggest away, but it has already been shown to you that the Lord Jesus Christ did indeed use derogatory terms for sinners. Have you never been called a dog?

Interaction is a great way to learn, but it seems to me that you have no intention of learning, none whatsoever. But stick around. Who knows but the Lord might help you out.

You forgot to mention that you said it didn't matter to you that you couldn't prove it and also that the few attempts you made failed miserably because you tried to make the verses say what they just did not say.

I find it distasteful that so-called Christians call sodomites "gay people". They are homosexuals, sodomites. The use of "gay" is all part of Satan's plan to make them sound normal, or at least, not nasty. When I was a youngster, they were called puffs or queers. I believe in America they are called fags or dykes.

Lisa, if God loved everyone in the OT times, he sure had a funny way of showing it. Do you really believe he loved everyone? Or just the elect? Jacob I have loved but Esau have I hated.

Lisa, do you believe in the vicarious suffering of The Saviour? That means the suffering was "in the place of" another. When we say, "Jesus died for me", we are saying that Jesus took my place, bore the punishment I deserved, God struck him that I might be set free from condemnation.

Now if you say that the vicarious suffering of The Saviour was for all men, then there is no more wrath left in the Godhead, it has all been poured out at Calvary. But that makes no sense at all, because God still is sending men to hellfire because of their sins. How do you explain that God punishes the same sin twice? The only explanation is that you do not believe THE GOSPEL of substitution. And if you do not believe that, you are still nominally Christian.

Hello Lisa, I guess I'm shallow too. God did not send his Son just for the Israelite s. He love us enough to send Him for us as well. I don't think we are shallow, I just think we make things so clear!!!

I'm not sure what everyone is talking about on this thread, I read part way down and became exhausted. In Kentucky there is only one company that places children in same sex or homosexual homes. The state will not place adoptable kids in a same sex home for adoption or allow them to be foster parents either. My wife and I are foster parents. We have a 1 and 1/2 year old boy we are probably going to adopt.

Frankly I don't think you could prove anything from the bible. Your grasp of it is so shallow. What's worrying is that you are so full of yourself thinking that you have a better understanding than you do.
