The state Senate of Minnesota voted 37 to 30 on May 13 to allow same-sex marriages, following earlier passage of the legislation by the state’s House of Representatives on May 9 by a 75-to-59 vote. The legislation changes the definition of marriage in Minnesota from "between a man and a woman" to a civil contract between two persons.
The bill now goes to DFL Governor Mark Dayton, who has indicated he will sign the bill Tuesday evening. Dayton is heir to the Dayton’s Department store fortune, now known as Target Corporation.
Both houses of the Minnesota legislature are dominated by the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), which outnumbers Republicans 73 to 61 in the House and 39 to 28 in the Senate. The DFL is affiliated with the national Democratic Party, but has origins in the leftist Populist, Progressive movement that has long been popular in the upper Midwest....

I don't know that I would find it to be a commandment violation. I understand the spirit in which it is stated but I am uncomfortable with the quote.
I praise the Lord for the mercy he has shown on my country, my countrymen and myself. I pray he continues to show that mercy and does not deal with us according to our sins. Should he see fit to destroy us, I will understand. Should he continue to have compassion upon us, I will praise his abundant mercy.
Romans 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
I didn't know that quote originated with John MacArthur. I heard Chuck Missler use it, giving credit to Chuck Smith. Funny how things get around. Yeah, interesting that a Queen song would be quoted considering the headline. Freddy Mercury...now there was a flamer (not shy, flamboyant) by my dictionary.

Not sure how you arrived at the population of Sodom and Gomorrah, but I would have to respectfully disagree with John MacArthur. The Scriptures remind us in Genesis 18 that the Judge of all the earth is going to do right. There will never be a time when God will owe anyone an apology.
The State of Minnesota is now under the curse of God for making homosexual marriage legal. Why is it that those in favor of homoxual marriage are against other perversion marriages? It does not make sense. If they are for one form of perverted marriage then they should be for all forms of perverted marriage.
