Nigeria Declares Emergency Rule as Christians Debate Amnesty for Boko Haram Islamists
Labeling recent attacks as a "declaration of war," President Goodluck Jonathan today declared a state of emergency in three of Nigeria's northeastern states. More military troops will be sent to Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states, though the Associated Press notes "a similar effort [previously] failed to stop the bloodshed."

One of Nigeria's top Anglican leaders, Nicholas Okoh, is among those that oppose the emergency powers, urging the government to host a national dialogue instead. "The federal government had tried this emergency rule in other parts of the country but it didn't work," he told Nigerian reporters at a press conference. "There is need for Nigerians to talk about how they want to live together."

Though the West African nation's military continues to engage the insurgents in fierce gun battles, the bombings have remained unabated, forcing northern leaders to demand a political solution ...

Apparently being killed John U.K., apparently someone needs to sit down with them and explain, unless they form there own Vigilance groups, an action of last resort, train their people to form militias and protect themselves -- they will be wiped out. The moronic Anglican thinks he can talk reason to Islamists? Why Islam today shuts down freedom of religion.

If the Catholics decided not to turn the other cheek, would they then return fire? And if the Pentecostals decided not to return fire, would they then turn the other cheek?

And besides, what are the Christians doing in the meantime?

These Christian leaders can't decide if they should return fire (Pentecostals) or turn the other cheek (Catholics).
