Gosnell Murder Trial Spurs House Republicans to Demand States Regulate Abortion Clinics
Leaders of the House Energy and Commerce Committee have set a May 22 deadline in which they expect public health officials from all 50 states and Washington, D.C., to provide them with "details on state licensing of abortion clinics and providers, information on revoked licenses, state inspections of clinics and disciplinary actions," so they can "examine how each state regulates and monitors abortion clinics and protects the health and safety of women."

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), vice chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, who signed the letter to the public health officials, along with her Republican colleagues on the committee, said that: "Planned Parenthood called Gosnell's 'House of Horrors' an 'outlier,' but we're learning Gosnell is not an aberration. They were approached by women who complained about the disgusting conditions at Gosnell's facility, and they didn't report it." ...

I knew he had some sort of stake but didn't know he owned the building. Holder is involved in a few questionable issues right now.

Does anybody here realize that US Attorney General, Eric Holder, owns the building where Gosnell operated his butcher shop? Every Republican in Congress knows that. Wake up. The left/right thing is to keep us fighting with each other, while both parties take us down the road to tyranny.

Frank...I just read my post again and realized that it could have been taken as sarcastic. Sorry if you read it that way because I didn't mean for it to sound like that at all. Well, I have been trying to make a conscious effort to triple read my posts before submitting since I'm famous for coming across wrong, but I didn't do that with the one to you.
Maybe if it did sound just a tiny bit sharp, it was because I was concerned that you were really sick or worse, that's all. I totally forgot that you provide your email address.
Why is it that I can never seem to write a simple sentence or two? Once I start typing, I have trouble stopping...ha-ha.
The funny thing is that in real life, I am very quiet.
No, I didn't take it as being sarcastic at all. I suppose I should have posted something during that time frame, but my heart just wasn't in it.

I am the same way; I am actually a-social in life, but engage easily in writing.

Thanks for your comments and concern!

Hi Frank...you just missed the comments somehow. They were scattered throughout different threads so it wouldn't have been hard since there has been a lot of activity. I always forget about the email options for some since they don't display in the app I use.

As for your difficult loss, all I can say is, "sorry, and glad you are doing better."

Doesn't mean we weren't thinking of you and wondering what had happened. Like John said, we're family here. Anyway, sorry to hear of your loss and relieved to hear you are well. If there is anything I can do help you through this difficult time, just ask. And if not, you'll be in my prayers anyway.
Blessings, pilgrim.
Thanks, fellow ember! No need to pray regarding our loss, but your offer is well received. All is well!

Frank, it's great to hear you are okay. You have family here, and of course we have all been concerned. And I register exactly with what you said about your circumstances. It all becomes very real, sober and serious, when a death occurs. Going into eternity is a huge thing, and touches us very, very deeply.
Thanks Pilgrim and Luke 17:10. I am truly okay now and thanks for your concern and very kind comments. The Lord and I debated what took place and He finally told me that His ways were not my ways and His thoughts were not my thoughts, etc..

Actually, we had a death in the family that I was having a hard time understanding. Theology is so simple when we keep it on the pages of our bibles, but when it becomes personal it helps us to understand much about our walk with the Lord. But, I truly am okay and fine and I sincerely hope no one was overly concerned.
Dorcas, thanks for your encouraging comment.
Hey Frank, sorry about your loss. May God give you grace, comfort and understanding during this difficult time. I believe most were concerned that you were ok and thankfully you are saying your are fine. We miss your though provoking post and glad you are back. I know I looked for you daily but would confess I don't read every story that is posted. God bless you, you will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers, and again welcome back.

Hello brother. Yes, everything is okay; thanks for asking. I was going through some much needed introspection, but was following the news articles to some degree. This one can be somewhat confusing so I thought I would add my 2 cents.

Now, let’s see what this is really saying. These Republicans and other social conservatives want these women who are going to murder their children to be able to do so in a healthy, proper medical environment. Although there appears to be some exceptions to this, I can assure everyone that the babies in the womb or sometimes outside the womb don’t particularly care how they are being slaughtered. I remember the days before it was legal to murder innocent babies and the horror of getting a back-alley abortion made the procedure rare and illegal. If I had my way, I would charge everyone who has an abortion; performs an abortion, or assists in an abortion with murder. Yes, we should expose the terrible way we kill these babies, but not try and make these murders more humane.
