President Obama Calls on Americans to 'Reflect on Sacredness of Life' on Nat'l Day of Prayer

President Obama issued his annual proclamation declaring the first Thursday in May as the National Day of Prayer, a long-standing 62-year tradition that began with Democratic President Harry Truman.

Obama said communities can come together through prayer to support and strengthen each other. "In the aftermath of senseless acts of violence, the prayers of countless Americans signal to grieving families and a suffering community that they are not alone."

"Their pain is a shared pain, and their hope a shared hope. Regardless of religion or creed, Americans reflect on the sacredness of life and express their sympathy for the wounded, offering comfort and holding up a light in an hour of darkness," he added. ...

Thanks for the reminder. I do believe there is a difference between criticism and stating a truth. If I say that Ted Kennedy was a philanderer, that is a statement of truth not a criticism. If I say President Obama is a big advocate of tax and spend, that is a statement backed up by fact, therefore not a criticism. If the President openly supports the biggest abortion provider, has a record of voting against late term abortions and saving the life of the victim of a botched abortion; and then talks about the sacredness of life, the contradiction is a fact not a criticism. Also, in all due respect to Jim, I have trouble believing he did not criticize the previous administration during the time they were in office.

huh? There would be no death penalty if we did not view life as sacred. Roe v Wade says life is not sacred. Euthanasia follows next (courtesy of Obamacare--remember he said the elderly should just take pain pill) The president only thinks some lives are sacred. The point of the previous posts are that it is hypocritical to support abortion and killing of babies born from botched abortions and talk about the sacredness of life. Regardless of political affiliation, do you agree that the president is speaking with forked tongue? You would be the first to say that Bush was hypocritical, so where is your "independent" status by also agreeing that the president's belief in the sacredness of life is shaky at best?

No, no, gentlemen, you have this all wrong, the "sacredness of life," applies to those who are those Democratic Catholics that are on death row! The Romish Church has been working assiduously and covertly --with the aid of the Republicans I might add-- to get rid of the death penalty! Appointing Catholic judges to state and the federal courts are one way they are doing it so they can bypass the legislatures!

So, remember,

the Catholic Campaign to End the Use of the Death Penalty wrote:
"Ending the death penalty would be one important step away from a culture of death and toward building a culture of life.‚ÄĚ
A Culture of Life and the Penalty of Death
United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, 2005
excerpt fromUSCCB.

So, get with it fellows! not only do you have to get ecumenical and support the Romish Church being against abortion, (sometimes, it's right but not often!) and also be against the death penalty! Where as usual, they're wrong, q.v., Rendering To Caesar: A Biblical Perspective On Government

And
President?

Seems to be a fair representation of the culture at large, maybe he really is a man of the people.

America needs constant prayer. Only
God can turn the hearts of these leaders and the people that elected them. It is going to be prayer or handing us over to reap the rewards of what has been sown in our name. PRAY for eyes to be opened and hearts to see the offeces towards God.

What a joke this article is. Obama does not care about the sacredness of life or he would not support abortion.
