Famed Atheist Richard Dawkins: Forcing Religion on Kids Is ‘Child Abuse’

Famed evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins made a claim over the weekend that will likely draw the ire of religious people across the globe: That forcing religion upon children is a form of child abuse.

Rather than “indoctrination,” Dawkins called for a form of education in which children merely learn that different people embrace various theological claims.

“What a child should be taught is that religion exists; that some people believe this and some people believe that,” he told an audience at England’s Chipping Norton Literary Festival on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail. ...
hello
oh that he would be saved!
where do you live and what church do you belong to good sir!
[AUTHOR]Robert[/AUTHOR]While Richard Dawkins still draws breath there is hope for his eternal soul.It would be a testamony to the saving power of God,Should he not bow his knee in time , he will do when his time here is over , but then it will be too late. My prayer is that he will submit to Jesus now and know the joy of sins forgiven and an eternity in heaven where there is no death or pain or sorrow.
Chrissy, me, too! I've heard said before, "Why do we render our children to Caesar (government school) and are then shocked when they turn out to be Romans?!"

Agree. The very act of ensuring no reference nor giving thanks to Jesus or God in school means the school is promoting atheism. There is no neutrality.

"Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God." Luke 12:8-9

Remember the millstone, too, for those who cause the little ones to stumble.

Neither God nor schools "indoctrinate" with religion. With of course the exception that is muslim schools.

Dawkins "theological claims" is pure ignorance of Biblical Christian doctrine. But what else can we expect from someone whom God calls a fool?
"Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."

And who are we to argue with God?

So, then is Mr. Dawkins going to say that public schools should stop teaching the religion of secular humanism and moral relativism in their schools because it is child abuse?

To the unbelieving world, Christianity is the "aroma of death". We can, and should, be as loving and compassionate as possible, but the world hates God. Dawkins, as it has been mentioned numerous times, cannot philosophically defend any of his positions and relies on the masses of uninformed atheists to gird him up. Besides, he can only say this in a country with a Christian past. Have you ever heard or seen him say this in a Muslim country? Intellectual coward he is.

It says: "Famed Atheist Richard Dawkins: Forcing Religion on Kids Is ‘Child Abuse’"

"Famed" is a bit much. Notorious is a better description of this reality-challenged silly man. And listening to/reading his blather is adult abuse.

Can a person be a genius and a stooge at the same time? Why are people, unbelievers, that is, so violent when it comes to anything God? I can accept that they don't care to believe, consider it all foolishness, or whatever, but why do they make it their personal missions to combat Christianity? Why do they care so much as opposed to just leaving it alone?
I find it laughable how they will all resort to believing in the most ridiculous of things, but reject the one thing that really makes perfect sense. God can't possibly exist, but it is possible that aliens planted humans on Earth long ago? So, where did the aliens come from again? Hmmm.

The worst thing anyone could do is pay attention to Dawkins, since that's all he wants. He'll say anything to get attention. Best just to ignore him.

The schools teaching their religion of evolution should then be balanced with creationism as well.
