Rep. Chris Smith: 'If Gosnell Had Shot Seven Infants with an AR-15, It Would Be National News'

Thanks to conservative new media, the Kermit Gosnell trial is finally part of the national dialog. But before the mainstream press got around to doing their job, ten congressmen took to the floor of the House to protest the lack of media attention being paid to the horrifying story. One such congressman, Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), contrasted the abortionist's trial to another ongoing narrative that the media covers obsessively: gun control. “If Dr. Gosnell had walked into a nursery and shot seven infants with an AR-15, it would be national news and the subject of presidential hand-wringing,” said Smith, a member of the House pro-life caucus. ...

the "Palestinians" who are given no other name but their racial group "arab" include Christians, who too, are often displaced. then there was the NT book burning in Is. better to report the news on both sides of the border, since apparently the lost city on a hill's job is to be the policeman of the world, even while having the attention span of a gnat.

Don't you yourself do a similar thing in pushing for the false belief Roman Catholics are fellow Christians, essentially sweeping both their blasphemous, and very offical false teachings and the Inquistion under the rug.

Talk about being a spiritual ally with unbelievers.

That was me not Rufus. I use Hagee as an example of one that started out as a 'normal' dispensationalist and fell into a trap. The trap was years of defending wicked atrocities by Israelis against the Palestinians. Eventually, someone who defends such acts becomes a spiritual ally with unbelievers, they begin to pardon their wickedness and in Hagees case eventually their unbelief.

Its a two edged sword too as Churches defending Palestinian atrocities(like the PCUSA) become spiritual allies with groups like Hamas

EDIT:
I just reread my post, and want to say that its unfair to say dispensationalists DEFEND atrocities. It should rather read 'justify', 'excuse' or something in that range

Rufus, please provide something to show that what Israelis are doing is stealing land. Perhaps we should give America or Texas back while we are at it following your line of thinking. BTW, when Israel gives back land, guess who suffers? Innocent Israelis AND innocent "Palestinians" who are used as pawns for Jew-hatred (like the Gaza strip, and how Israel ripped their own people out of their to make room for Palestinian launch points). Who hates the Palestinians? Please sir, provide some reference to it and I will condemn it on the spot. Perhaps you aren't familiar with the work at Palestinian Media Watch, who track the kind of drivel the Islamic-led government is spoon-feeding the most innocent among them to hate Jews. That's my "cute" list. Where else is Israel to have a country but in "Palestine?" Where else can we have refuge for the centuries of evil done to us? Peaceful protest? Unarmed humanitarian vessels? I really want to see this for myself. But the true aggressors are not Israel. As Jordanian Walid Shoebat said, "Overnight I became a Palestinian" (in reference to the "lie" of Palestinianism).

A huge danger of dispensationalism is the spiritual unity they have with unbelieving Israelis. Israelis need the Gospel, not F 16s for salvation. The spiritual unity becomes so seductive that major leaders in their movement like John Hagee would rather reduce Christ to only a 'Savior' of the gentiles rather than Preach HIM as the ONLY Messiah.

Some here say they preach the true Gospel, but their gospel is only for the dispensation of Grace, it has changed in the past & will change again during the tribulation and 'millennial reign'

W: Is this all legitimate aggression in your eyes?
R: If the United Nations required Pennsylvanians to give up their homes to the Chinese to allow for settlements, I suspect there would be some unsavory responses.

W:The Jews have NEVER turned the most innocent among them into human bombs.
R: Have they ever bulldozed to death peaceful protestors? Have they ever slaughtered unarmed individuals on humanitarian vessels?

W: And I like your cute list at the end of your thread.
R: Cool. Perhaps, you might provide a similar cute list demonstrating the contrary.

First of all, Rufus, I have a family and other obligations, and I am sorry but defending the people who have no right to exist seemingly in this world is tiring and time-consuming. Do the Jewish people and Israel have a right to exist? It seems you have bought the liberal view that Israel is nothing but aggressors and bigots. It is an ancient attack against the Jewish people to call it Palestine, and if you want to take an attack against a people group as fodder for your faulty arguments, I guess I can't help you there. What of the Palestinian children and the Arabs who exist who do love Israel and love the government they have in place instead of the Hamas-led, cowardly Islamic jihadist way? What of the children that are used as suicide bombers, sir? What of the promulgation of Jew hatred and Holocaust denial but the powers-that-be in "Palestine?" Is this all legitimate aggression in your eyes? The Jews have NEVER turned the most innocent among them into human bombs. "Common sense?" What kind of strong citation is that?? And I like your cute list at the end of your thread. Yes, please, make sure you point out all those subversive Jews in power, Rufus, before it's too late. Your understanding of Palestine seems woefully lacking…please explain Hams and PLO and Arafat.

Howard Stern- Jew
Dennis Prager – Jew
Marc Levin – Jew
Michael Medved – Jew
Sean Hannity -RC
Bill O'Reilly - RC
Not that I didnt believe you, but had to check to see if Hannity was really a Catholic...and yep ..he is. It appears though that the RCC might want to trade him to the Baptists

wiki "Hannity had on air clashes with show guests such as Fr. Thomas J. Euteneuer of Human Life International, who challenged Hannity on his public dissent from the Catholic Church on the issue of contraception.[16][17] Hannity stated that if the Catholic Church were to excommunicate him over the issue, he would join Jerry Falwell's Thomas Road Baptist Church.[18]"

"Rep. Chris Smith: 'If Gosnell Had Shot Seven Infants with an AR-15, It Would Be National News'"

I wonder what would have happened if the media and the politicians applied the same reasoning powers they use in dealing with guns to this "doctor"'s scissors? Let me guess, there would be a call for everyone's scissors to be registered, the length limited and the points rounded. NY gov Cuomo would give an emotional speech about "No one needs 8 inch scissors to cut paper!!" Pres O. would look distressed and call on Republicans to get over partisanship for the sake of the children. He would promote scissor control while offering comfort to families of murdered infants, though he voted for it while a Senator.

I don't expect any of this to happen, though. Unequal application of their private code of conduct is not illegal.

Answering the question with an assertion disguised as a question (seemingly) is not answering the question. What is Palestine, but an ancient Roman moniker given to the land by an antisemitic emperor? What are Palestinians but displaced pawns used by the surrounding Arab nations (to whom many belonged to at one point) to fuel antisemitism and provoke the world at large to want to see the embarrassment and punishment of Israel? This is not to say that Israel is full of saints or that every IDF officer has conducted himself in full humanity (they are sinners and not demons like so many Jew haters would like to characterize them as, and under immense pressure from Hamas and Fatah/PLO murderers who want to see them annihilated and who use Palestinian children as suicide machines. Where's the outrage for that? When has Israel engaged in any of these brutal tactics? Who is at fault for the lack of harmony now that the land is called "Israel" [with and Arab on the Knesset, mind you, something that would NEVER happen in "Palestine"]? Don't tell me its those "dirty Jews" all over again, please?)

I'll give it a shot after you answer the following in the "CUFI Lobbies Against Hagel Appointment" thread:

Rufus: ...However, just because it is fulfilled prophecy does not necessarily make it right nor was it necessarily a right granted by God. Prior to Israel being restored, Palestinians and Jews lived harmoniously. I ask, did Palestine have a right to exist as it was prior to it's existence being methodically eliminated?

The mainstream media represents the viewpoints of their corporate/government sponsors and Roman Catholic/Jewish leadership.

They are not going to cover stories which do not meet the criteria of their agenda controlled narrative. Folks should not be surprised when ABC\CBS\NBC\CNN\Faux News etc. don't report on these stories, they should merely seek alternative sources for news or just turn it off altogether.

"Few of us have heard anything through the news media of our time that added one inch to our stature or helped us to be better men or women in this life. If we have read the sickening details of one war, rape, robbery, murder, riot or famine or heard the gory details of one senseless automobile crash, what shall it profit us if we hear of a thousand more?" - H.L. Roush from Henry and the Great Society

We're already aware that "doctors" kill people, we're merely shocked when they do it in such a manner that is less hygienic than what we're accustomed to.
