Tony Perkins: Obama’s evangelical ‘watch list’ could ban Christian gun buyers

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins has warned that President Barack Obama could be planning to create a special “watch list” for Catholics and evangelical Christians to prevent them from buying guns.

On his Wednesday Washington Watch broadcast, Perkins said he was “concerned” about a bipartisan deal in the Senate that would close the so-called gun show loophole and require background checks for Internet gun sales.

“This idea of background checks is very concerning given the fact that the United States military has been increasingly showing hostility toward evangelicals and Catholics as being somehow threats to national security and people that need to be watched,” Perkins opined. ...

1517 said "We ALL should seek the face of God that we may stand as a CHURCH against all that rages against God and His anointed. Soli Deo Gloria!"

I agreed, and expounded upon that statement with a relevant observation concerning the posts on this very site, the previous day. Thanks for your loving concern :-)

P.S. make sure to get some shade from that sunny Caribbean sun before offering advice in the future, as appreciated as it was

It is just as off-topic to discuss those off-topic posts under this topic.

Amen, great post 1517!

My question is how do we stand as a church when the "church" gets caught up in bickering over Calvinism. The sickening part of it is not only were more comments posted on that article yesterday than the others combined, look at the topics that were blown off to argue. Why would the media report everything when we could obviously care less, and would rather exert our emotions over how man interprets a work he has no control over. I pray the lack of virtue anywhere besides in the true body( and I don't mean protestants alone, I mean true Christians, leaving out most who profess) will begin to be obvious, and that God raises men in my generation who can battle with the worth of 20 soldiers. "Wise is the man that knows which hill to die on" - Steve Lawson

If you are going to fight, let it be over the gospel alone, surely some were saved who cannot detail every step beside their own perspective of Gods work. The point is what is the fruit and keep onward Christian soldiers!

Of course, according to the post-modern/materialistic worldview, any belief in a God who holds individuals and governments accountable is seemed "hateful, extreme, and insane". Christianity is the aroma of death to un-saved man. Look at Rome, Christians were considered "atheists" and "cannibals", a threat to the empire, therefore were persecuted. Perkins and other councils and associations should not look to "conservative" legislators to change the direction of the country. We ALL should seek the face of God that we may stand as a CHURCH against all that rages against God and His anointed. Soli Deo Gloria!

Obama is absolutely insane. Why would Obama and the stupid Democrats want to abridge the Second Amendment?
