'Hero' teens lift 3,000-lb tractor off trapped dad

Jeff Smith blames muddy boots for the accident that nearly cost him his life last week. When his feet slipped while adjusting the clutch the farm equipment flipped over, leaving him pinned and helpless. Emergency services are 20 minutes away from their remote Oregon home so he knew his teen daughters were his only chance. "He wouldn't stop screaming," says one sister of what they heard when they ran to his aid. Days later they say they still can't quite explain how they managed to lift it just enough for him to slip out from underneath. "It was heavy," they admit of their feat. "It was crazy... kind of like a dream." ...

Quite right, Chris. Patrol: 19-year-old did "everything he could" to save mother in snow storm. It is a mystery of how God works, though everything he does is for His glory--Glory to God Who is Able.

Farming and remote areas go together, and a high death/accident rate for farmers and other rural people, unfortunately, also goes together as well.

I watched the video and, although it's been a while, I've heard of stories like this. They used to be much more frequent. Anyway, one of the sisters was calling out to God for help so I wonder if He sent an angel to help out. I always wonder what makes the difference from helping one person to another and what's different when one tragedy is averted while another is allowed to happen.
