Christian Apologist Says Church 'Losing Battle' Against Hate Label for Homosexuality Stance

Nobody likes to be called a ‘hater’. Hate is such a loaded word. The dictionary defines it as ‘intense dislike’, ‘extreme aversion’ or ‘hostility’ towards someone or something. It’s the antithesis of Christianity’s core value – love. However, if you stand behind the traditional Biblical stance that homosexual behaviour is a sin, than expressing that view could land you on the wrong side of the law as a perpetrator of ‘Hate Speech’ in Canada. The precedent was set early this year in a ground-breaking case in Saskatchewan that calls into question our Constitutional right to ‘Freedom of Expression’. The Supreme Court ruled the distribution of anti-homosexual pamphlets was a violation of the hate speech provisions of the Human Rights Code.

World renowned apologist, Dr Williams Lane Craig, is widely regarded as one of the greatest defenders of the traditional Christian faith on the planet. Leading ...

Ask the Salvation Army. They threw out all supernatural superstitious Christian trappings including baptism and the lord's supper. Said it was all irrelevant. Of course Luther would presume that you're saved through the baptismal waters and dead in your trespasses without it. The truth lies somewhere between these goal posts.

"The fact that you dont agree with me in spiritual matters gives me comfort, because if you did agree with me..I would be worried"

Ditto.

Ok, so me take this slow and make it simple; what I said was wrong, for sure, to clear that up. Now, according to you, because I did or said something wrong, whether on this board, or in real life, you inferred that I am unregenerate, have not overcome anything, likened me to Sodom and Gomorrah, and had the bloody gall to accuse me of pretending my salvation. All of this because of one graphic, heated post, made in anger when I read about women being brutally
raped? Whether it's right or wrong, do you personally know anyone who has ever been raped? Have you ever experienced rape? How about a loved one? Though the content of the post was wrong, it was made out of anger because I, for one, can answer "yes" to one of the questions I just asked you.
Don't claim to know anyone because you really have no clue. God forbid you should say, "hey Chris, that post wasn't cool for a Christian". You know what I would have said to you? I would have said, (verbatim) "You're right...thanks".
Who are you, of all people, to judge and condemn me for anything?

Hey, Steve...me again. I just noticed in your post that I and everyone else here are pretending to be converted? For what purpose? I think it's interesting how everyone here, with the exception of you, are headed towards perdition. How is that, Steve? Since I have been around, you have proven youself to be, without question, the most divisive, combative, unloving, unhelpful, judgemental, narcissistic forum member I have ever seen. Whenever anyone has ever disagreed with you, you have judged and condemned them. I have come to find it absolutely hilarious that you have the gall to actually judge any other human being when I have never seen one flicker of the light of Christ within you. I would love to banter with you, but you would never survive, and you are incapable of having friendly, constructive conversations anyway.
Ok, Steve...take it easy.

So, Steve...you missed the entire point of my post. You are trying to qualify me as unregenerate by one slip of the tongue? Stating that I overcame Sodom but became Gomorrah, and then spiraled down to inferring that I am a Roman Cathilic hater along with my buds? Seriously, are you ok? Bi-polar? I never know what to expect from you and half the time, honestly, Steve, you really don't make a lot of sense when replying to topics; often spiralling off into nonscensical rants. I almost feel bad replying at times because as much as I don't care for you combative, narcissistic online presense, I don't like embarassing you. You don't see it that way because you are much too proud, but these people rip you apart using the Bible. All you do is spit out out of context verses here and there, type out a line of sarcasm and judgement, and run away. How can every single one of these people be wrong, according to you when they use the Bible alone as their defense and offense? You see nothing wrong here? When is the last time YOU took a real good, long look at your own self in that mirror you mentioned?

It's a good job I didn't hold my breath! And there's me thinking it wasn't such a hard question.

I wonder why SteveR thinks it to be a disadvantage for a baby not to be baptised. Perhaps he believes in baptismal regeneration, or baptismal forgiveness, or baptismal calling, or baptismal election, or baptismal washing, or baptismal justification, or baptismal sanctification, or baptismal obedience, or baptismal quickening, or baptismal enlightenment, or baptismal revelation, or baptismal whatever else you can think of.

Ever heard of William Sleeper, Observer?
He wrote these words:

A ruler once came to Jesus by night,
To ask Him the way of salvation and light;
The Master made answer in words true and plain:
"Ye must be born again!"

Refrain:
"Ye must be born again! Ye must be born again!"
I verily, verily, say unto you—
"Ye must be born again!"

Ye children of men, attend to the word
So solemnly uttered by Jesus, the Lord;
And let not this message to you be in vain:
"Ye must be born again!"

O ye who would enter that glorious rest,
And sing with the ransomed the song of the blest,
The life everlasting if ye would obtain,
"Ye must be born again!"

A dear one in heaven thy heart yearns to see,
At the beautiful gate may be watching for thee;
Then list to the note of this solemn refrain:
"Ye must be born again!"

Thank you

One sermon I did hear the Pastor say we ALL are like mad dogs deserving to put down. Only by the most incredible Grace are we saved. That is what we receive when we are Born Again, we become heirs to Riches. And what is our Father rich in?
Mercy!! If we are truly heirs, we inherit MERCY

Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Observer,
The reply of Rufus was hardly an endorsement of the RCC

John,
We see your practice a disadvantage, you dont. We obviously have different paradigms so dont use this as misdirection when its clear what wickedness has been expressed on this thread

Ha! Always trying to set the saints against one another, a typical trait of the devil. But I guess you can't see that, being deceived and all.

p.s. Sanctification can take a lifetime, so the sooner you get started the better. But then to start, as you now know, Ye Must Be Born Again.

And you never did answer my question: "What disadvantage is it for a child of Christian parents not to be baptised?"

Go on, Steve, at least have a try.

Why? Don't you know that its fine to hate the visible saints.

What a fine 'christian' must be mindful of is all them 'elect' among the RCC. They be in their millions and billions don't you know. SteveR has it by personal revelation, seeing that he be so godly.

If you'd only do that, and at the same time buy into Rome being the mother church and that RCC theology is correct then you can even call yourself "Reformed" and spit venom at anything godly and be as spiteful as you like, but in SteveR's eyes you'd be one fine upstanding Christian.

Now you'd like to be in his good books, wouldn't ya?

Right or wrong? You still cant figure out that desiring to 'slowly' 'painfully' torture another person even a criminal for days is a desire from the evil one? Overcome, yea you overcame Sodom and became Gomorrah. I most surprised that your 'bros' didnt correct you, as they have had more experience pretending to be converted than you. Not that I would expect an answer like "Preach to them brother Christopher" but give me at least a "We need to try to forgive them despite their wickedness"

Honestly, I have tried to be so pleasant to you, considering, but you really do come out with the most ridiculous of comments.
Good morning bro!

Don't let SteveR rile you and spoil your day. He's only doing what comes natural to him. And he can talk, considering the spite and venom he's been displaying on this forum for weeks and months.

He sees that as his ministry to the saints here!

So just look upon his comments as a necessary part of your sanctification.

SteveR is a classic case of self delusion, and that is why this accuser of the brethren MUST BE BORN AGAIN!

Colossians 2:8-15 KJV
8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Complete or incomplete?
