Pope orders Vatican officials to tackle child sex abuse scandals

Pope Francis has directed the Vatican to act decisively on ecclesiastic sex abuse cases and take measures against paedophile priests, saying the Catholic church's credibility was on the line.

The announcement was quickly dismissed by victims' advocates as just more talk. "Once again … a top Catholic official says he's asking another top Catholic official to take action about paedophile priests and complicit bishops," said Barbara Dorris, an official of Snap, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, a US-based organisation. ...

Ok, so first of all, I just came back to the SA app after stopping by the website for a bit of reading. The SA app is so stripped down compared to the normal site where this forum looks so different...I can see links and all.
Anyway, Jim...since you took the time, I read both articles and they, especially the 1st one were sobering. I see what you mean as far as the hopelessness of investigations that will never go any farther than the well planned public statement.
The 1st article with the individual cases was pretty sickening, and these are only
a very few of who knows how many now open or still hidden. Yes, celibacy is a huge problem, but I really wonder if the rampant homosexuality would be any less, even if they were allowed to marry. I have to assume that they are just homosexuals, period, allowed to marry or not, because they seem to love the boys over the girls by 9-1.
The whole scene is pretty gross.

Oh, ok. I'll take a look. I'll have to get out of the Sermon Audio app and head on over there. Sounds interesting. Thanks Jim...

Chris, as I pointed out, you should read the two articles that are either in the sidebar--or on the bottom of your screen if you're using a mobile device (this newspaper is a lot less cluttered when you use a mobile device). One is Catholic priests unmasked: 'God doesn't like boys who cry'. Among other things this article points out the self-monitoring program in Scotland (which appears to be the same one they have in the U.S.) is an absolute shame. The other article, just goes into that point a little deeper, though a shorter article, Former child protection consultant accuses bishops of behaving like 'kings in their castles'.

Many bishops are perverted Satanists (who would have made good SS men in a different time period.) But, some of this I would expect you might have suspected Chris, If you're still in contact with some Catholic laity, you should at least tell them about, SNAP---Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests if their children get abused, and help them make thePilgrimage From Rome

"The only unnatural sex act is that which you cannot perform."
ALFRED KINSEY, "The Kinsey Reports" (c. 1948)

Once this teaching got into the American bloodstream and every church, biblical sex would eventually be overcome by events.

I don't konw if you have a link there, but I'll check later.
I usually read entire articles but really didn't see the need for this one. I know what others think, but I am just hoping that he will interject himself into the investigation, taking a hands on approach and digging deep. Yes, any parents and adult victims should have gone, and should go to the police 1st, and the church 2nd...then and now.
I can't believe the homosexuality and pedophilia that has gone in within this system for on very long. I know anything can happen anywhere and to anyone, but this is much, much different, being basically accepted, expected, and hidden for so long.

Ah, Chris, if you read the article, most people think it just more talk, SNAP---Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests think it is just that. Parents who have had their children abused should talk to the police and to SNAP, and then they can talk to the Romish Church, if they have shown the good sense of making the Pilgrimage From Rome

Say, there are some good articles in the right side panel when I was typing this up on Romish priests, I would suggest take a look at those as well as the main article. But no, the Red Pope, needs to do something about Clerical Celibacy.

I really hope thos isn't just more talk. He seems like the type of guy who really
means what he says concerning this. I just hope he spearheads the efforts and remains an active participant in the ongoing effort to clean out the Roman machine of the rampant filth.

Kinsey's anarchic fuse (1948) and Sanger's universal sexual revolution thermonuclear bomb (1960) splintered the universal church into a billion parts.

Once 21st century archaeologists finally investigated, they even found crumpled boys, ruined families, pedophile priests, unrepentant bishops and complicit cardinals in the wreckage.

Only Jesus could help the Vatican sift through the carnage.
