The Bible and homosexuality
In God’s original design, human sexual conduct was to occur within the context of marriage between one man and one woman. The first chapter of the Bible says, “God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Genesis 1:27). Differentiation of the human race into two complementary sexes (“male and female”) is the first fact mentioned in connection with being “in the image of God.” In Genesis 2, which describes in more detail the process summarized in 1:27, God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him” (Genesis 2:18). Genesis then applies the example of Adam and Eve to all marriages: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh” (Genesis 2:24). This “one flesh” sexual union was thus established as the pattern for marriage generally, ...

First we should call it what the bible says it is SODOMY=Sodimites. They can get married all they want but GOD WILL NEVER RECOGNIZE IT. That goes for lesbians to. Who gave us these rights? Now let's say that the Supreme Court makes it ok for Sodimites to marry. Then will it be ok for older men to marry 12 yr old boys? Why not? It's already happening. See www. nambla.org. Please I beg you, repent of your sins and trust Jesus Christ as Lord and savior.

Frank and Dorcas, let me re-word my last comment which was too low key...Thank you very much! You as well, Elise! I know most prefer to do things quietly, but if ANYONE ever needs me for anything, just say the word.

Hi Frank...I know you understand. Yes, she goes to church faithfully every weekend, observes all of the holidays, etc. If she prays to Mary, goes to confesion, etc, she keeps it a secret because I have told her how wrong those things are. She told me that she did ask Christ to come into her heart many years ago after speaking to her about it, but I believe she saw it as a "magic" prayer because her life reflects just the opposite. I believe that there just has to be an outward change, and since there never has been, I feel it was not effectual
Thanks for answering Christopher. That will help me to pray for her and you. Just remember, that one thing the RCC does is usurp your position as the priest of your home. Your wife has been taught to disregard anything that goes against the canons, etc. I'm sure you are aware of this. Even little children are taught to call these antichrists "father"; what an evil and diabolical system.

Do you allow her to be faithfully open to your children, or have you ever encouraged her to disobey the immutable "diabolical" (Frank's term) teachings of the church and Bible against contraception, abortifacients, abortion or sterilization? That is to say, on the day you married, was your covenant with her predicated on all biblical precepts?

Hello Christopher! I have been following your comments regarding your wife and family. I fully realize how difficult the Christian walk is in that respect!

I do have a quick question if you don't mind. Does your wife attend a Catholic church?

It's a sin of the flesh . It's totally changeable. The one struggling with homosexuality needs to submit to God and deny his flesh . He can cast out demons until he's blue in the face but once he denies his flesh then and only then can things change. Stop the sinful behavior , then the effects of that behavior cease.

Please disregard my 1st paragraph below. That came out all wrong and didn't convey my thoughts in the way I Intended, but rather sounds a bit crass now that I read it again.

Thanks, Michael! I wasn't ever going to ask for anyones prayers again following the last thread because, since nobody else asks, I felt I would be seen as taking advantage. The subject of prayer makes me a little uncomfortable because even when I have ever offered to continually pray for anyone, they never say anything back and I never know what to make of that. Sometimes it makes me feel like, you can if you want to, but whatever. Me, I believe that things start happening the moment a true Christian begins praying,so I am always ecstatic. Maybe it's just a matter of their being quiet and humble. ..I don't know.
Anyway, that would be great! Thank you! Her name is Michelle, and she is a life long Roman Catholic.
I do believe that God can save anyone because He saved my dad, who was a bad, bad man.
Thanks again, and I would post up any progress, for sure. Boy, wouldn't that be a miracle. Like people said of you before you were saved, Michael,..."yeah right, fat chance". This is the position that I am in with her.

There are generational curses, that allow stronghold that legitimately give entrance to demons. We need to repent of ancestral sins, claim the promises of Jesus ( who broke the curse of sin) and cast these demons out.

There are certain hereditary factors that give people a greater likelihood of developing all sorts of different sinful behavior patterns (such as frequent wrongful anger, violence, adultery, alcoholism, and so forth), and it's not surprising to find that some people, from certain hereditary backgrounds, have a greater likelihood of developing homosexual desires, but this is far different from proving congenital homosexuality. I don't buy it.
They, like anyone else born into sin, must resist the urge to do whatever it is they might be predisposed to or to resist whatever it is that they may encounter at any given moment.

To me, if anyone was truly born to be gay, then what of the judgement? What of God's commands against it? Wouldn't be fair to condemn someone if they were genetically predisposed to believing they are a man in a womans body, etc.

Once Lambeth formally elevated sexual sensation above children, same sex marriage, openly-gay preachers and pedophile priests have been a foregone conclusion for 80 years. The six or so verses against homosexuality were never a bulwark against the ensuing sexual tsunami.
