Feds back off ban on free Bible

The federal government has backed off a ban it had imposed on free Bibles at a farmer’s market in Louisiana, according to the non-profit legal advocacy group Liberty Counsel.

Since 2011, Louisiana resident Shirley Elliott has sold produce and homemade jellies at Thibodaux Farmer’s Market near Jean Lafitte National Historic Park in Louisiana.

She also gave away Bibles to anyone who wanted one.

However, on Dec. 1, 2012, a park ranger told Elliott she could not give away Bibles at her table because “they were on federal property.” ...

Why of course John Y., apparently you have yet to read, the article on the The Roman Catholic Bible (PDF) have you? In fact the author makes little complaint (and he overlooks the heretical commentary, that assume is included in most Catholic Bibles) about the New Testament, though he did make a few about how Romish Church slanted the interpretation for its own ends.

But unlike that other Catholic Bible, Is the King James Version a ‘Roman Catholic Bible’? which at least put these false books all in one place in the middle of the KJV. So, the Romish Bible is bad for several reasons, and of course the Romish Church had nothing to do on How We Got Our Bible

Straight from the Original Latin Texts
edit: Maybe I shouldnt joke around JY- One of my critiques of the RCC is their dependence on the Latin Vulgate. While Jerome might have been a genuis in translating from the actual original languages to Latin ,the resulting English translation made centuries later has much to be desired. This dovetails into the Bible discussion because clearly Westcott and Hort(leaders in the 'new age' versions) abused the anomolies created in the extra translation
The Catholic Bible that I have states that it was translated from the original Greek.

I would have told that jerk park ranger that I would not cease handing out free Bibles as that is my constitutional right to hand out free Bibles.
