1 in 4 believe Obama may be Antichrist

The good news for the White House is that three of four respondents to a Public Policy Polling survey say they do not believe that Barack Obama is the Antichrist, the epitome of evil that the Bible explains will come to deceive people during the End Times.

But on the other hand, 13 percent are convinced he is, and another 13 percent – for a total of one in four across the nation – say they aren’t sure.

It was question No. 8 on the organization’s national survey. Other questions asked whether people believed in global warming, whether Osama bin Laden was alive and whether a UFO crashed at Roswell, N.M., in 1947 and the U.S. government covered it up. ...

Well his actions definitely show he's an apostate soul, and he looks a little fruity in that above picture. Or maybe he's so full of it his face is sickening.

Yes, true believers who are sleeping with the Lord won't be around.

Well, the 13% who said they didn't know, probably thought it was such a goofy question, naturally they said they didn't know, I worry about the other 13% there's sure been "dumbing down" of both the religious and secular education in this country. It certainly possible that the Anti-Christ in the Bible will be a Pope, The Pope and the Papacy, probably one who is a Jesuit.

It certainly is the most precious thing in all the world, Christopher.

It sounds like you got what the apostle Paul got:

Galatians 2:20 KJV
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

O deep joy!

Well, than you very much for the well thought out posts below. You are all good people and I know that some just choose to do things privately and quietly.
You made a lot of sense, Mike, and I have considered all. There is one particular area that is causing most, but not all of it that I was going to keep quiet. You all seem to genuinly care, so maybe I'll post what I have been keeping private. Like I said, I can't pinpoint some of it, but I'm aware of the major portion, say 75 percent.
John, and to think that I didn't have confidence that we were going to get along at first. You are completely misunderstood by some who don't take the time to get to know you. Anyway, I took your post to heart because you said you have been even lower. The odd thing that I took away from it is that I realized, for the 1st time, that Christ died for "me"...#10, I read it over and over. I wonder how many have been able to comprehend what Christ really accomplished, for them, in their thoughts as opposed to simply pondering the overall event? I wonder how many have had this revelation that really does make Christ's death personal for each individual? Really something if you really get it.

Chris, has the doctor told you of possible side effects of Wellbutrin? I only ask because sometimes a side effect of antidepressants is depression. Be self aware of changes. Has the doc determined you have a physical/biological condition causing the depression, for which the medication will provide reduction? Or is it something to relieve symptoms only? You need to know if there is a cause needing the treatment. If there cannot be determined that there is a cause, you may need to conclude you are somehow doing it to yourself. Remember depression is a response to something. Is your family situation contributing? Are you having difficulty reconciling with the possibility that there are some things you can't control? Depression is often cyclical, we feel bad and get depressed, which makes us feel bad, etc. The cycle needs be broken. Praying for you. Read John UK's post again
I second the excellent posts by bros Mike and John UK!

Medication should be used in extreme circumstances only. Remember wordlings, including doctors, all believe that most ailments are merely chemical imbalances and will all too readily dish out the Meds!

Still praying for you.

Christopher, I am going to tell you what I think, and you should take it to the Lord for a confirming or nonconfirming. In other words, this is my opinion, based upon personal experiences far worse than you are knowing currently.

1. Avoid anti-depressant drugs from the medical profession.

2. Avoid junk food.

3. Avoid situations which exacerbate the symptoms.

4. Analyse if you are rebelling against the will of God in a certain area.

5. Become assured that God's will is always good and perfect.

6. Realise that God is sovereign, and does as he wills.

7. Realise that you cannot save everyone.

8. Realise that you cannot save anyone.

9. Learn to be happy with the Lord, and what he does.

10. Most importantly, convert doctrine into present reality and shout for joy. God has saved you and forgiven all your sins, even those you cannot recall. God knows every last one and Christ has paid the price for each one. Praise God with a loud voice, and do not allow the devil to push you into the ground.

11. Lastly, tell the devil to clear off, in the name of Jesus. Make sure your armour is shiny, keep trusting your sword, and realise that without God's grace upon you, Satan would eat you for breakfast.

I guess it makes no difference, but the reason I wonder about pre and post trib is because I'm curious to know if we should be looking up, waiting for the rapture, or if we should be on the lookout for the man of "peace". Just for the sake of curiosity.

I have been using "MySword" on my smart phone. Great tool with lots of features and 3rd party plugins for anyone interested. I have another one that Jim recommended as well, but have to check the name. AndBible, maybe.

Revelation
10  The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11  And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
I think about this often...forever and ever because it's horrifying and really incomphrensible to me. These are two of the versus that come to mind every day when I think of my poor wife, her family, and my family. Sometime, the thought of it is almost unbearable while pondering it. I imagine them screaming and begging for the mercy which will never be answered.
May I suggest reading the ENTIRE Bible. It will all make sense and you wont be tormented over those 2 verses. If you dont understand what has happened, how can you understand the future? & for your earlier post...Notice how in v 22 Christ addresses the ELECT with these concerns? How could the Elect be warned if they arent there?

Anyways- The pre trib rapture heresy isnt worth your time

We all have those lost loved ones and friends that are heading south (at the moment) and I wonder how everyone deals with the thought of the loss each day, imagining their fate should they continue in their unbelief, or whatever. There is someone here whose daughter decided that she is an athiest. I just can't imagine the grief.

Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

My first verse post...ha-ha

Does this verse, in conjunction with others infer a pre-trib rapture? Could "if it were possible" be taken to mean that it will not be possible because the believers will have been removed. Otherwise, with the false prophet, being so convincing, even true believers would be fooled by the signs and wonders?

I like your comment! Survival and a false unity are the main focus of the false church and they will easily succumb to the antichrist and what he has to offer. I personally believe the antichrist will be a secular Muslim, so when Obama is done as president and if he then takes a position with the UN or something like that, then I might consider him to be the antichrist? The whole world will indeed follow this diabolical figure and that includes America.

[3] And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. [4] And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who [is] like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? (Rev 13:3-4 KJV)

BIble Student, the Bible teaches it. Christians will be raptured.....whether they like it or not. Though I would hope a Christian would like the return of the Lord Jesus. With your title being "Bible Student" I hope that means your reading your Bible and educating yourself not referring to a seminary brainwashing, I mean education. .

Why do so many now think its Obama or a superstar actor like Kevin Bacon?
The idea of antichrist comes from the bible. Pushing it to the ridiculous by adding Kevin Bacon and Mr. Rogers wont do.

Doesn't the bible say it's supposed to be the pope? They're ruining all the most ancient church teachings. Ordinarily the real Antichrist hugs the crippled, washes prisoners' feet and ..taking the bus to drop off his dry cleaning.
Dressing yor man in Rome as an angel of light won't do either. 2Cor11:14

Obama is antichrist because he is against Christ. The Pope is antiChrist because RC is the doctrine of demons set up to take the place of Christ.
