Obama Proclaims April the Month to Teach Young People ‘How to Budget Responsibly’

President Barack Obama, who has increased the national debt by $53,377 per household, has proclaimed April “National Financial Capability Month,” during which his administration will do things such as teach young people “how to budget responsibly."

“I call upon all Americans to observe this month with programs and activities to improve their understanding of financial principles and practices,” Obama said in an official proclamation released Friday.

“My Administration is dedicated to helping people make sound decisions in the marketplace,” he said. ...

Classic case of "do as I say, not as I do".

That and it's much easier to go after kids than try to rebuke those spend-thrift members of Congress.

Real glad to hear it, Mike.

Although I've picked up a few pounds over the winter (which is usual for me), physically I'm doing good. Mentally, well, life is an emotional roller coaster at times probably because more and more things which affect my life are no longer in my control. I guess that's the way of it for seniors.

Oh well, God knows what he's doing and I just need to trust Him to make the crooked path before me straight.

God bless, dear brother.

People can actually live on very little money at all. The less one has, the less others can steal. Read "Possum Living" and other books about how to live with little or no money. BUT, this of course would be un-American because who's gonna feed the rich and support the State religion? It would probably be labeled terrorism to live so humbly. And those who do so might earn Statist mockery labels like kooks and conspiracy theorists etc.

I think the Lord says to be content with food and raiment.

"Obama Proclaims April the Month to Teach Young People ‘How to Budget Responsibly’"

Is this for real? From the man under whose watch the National Debt has increased 60%?

As one commenter on the source site said, ".. we the little people, must be responsible with our money so we can send more of it to him to spend on his family." (Response to an observation that the pres sent his kids to the Bahamas for
Spring Break and also to Sun Valley for some skiing.)

There seems to be no limit to hypocrisy in Washington.

Perhaps Nebraska Jim can provide a balanced approach to this news?
