$10,000 prize to disprove Bible's creation account

A $10,000 reward has been offered to anyone who can prove the reality of evolution. California creation scientist Dr. Joseph Mastropaolo says he’ll pay the contestant who can disprove the literal interpretation of the book of Genesis.

Entitled “Literal Genesis Trial,” the rules and regulations of the contest state on Mastropaolo’s website an independent organization will oversee the proceedings before a judge.

Answers in Genesis (AiG), a non-profit Christian apologetics ministry with a particular focuses on supporting young Earth creationism, weighed in on the contest.

“While we are generally supportive of attempts by people to expose the bankruptcy of molecules-to-man evolution, we are not sanguine about efforts that claim creation can be proven today,” said Dr. Georgia Purdom, Ph.D. – Answers in Genesis. “Both creation and evolution are outside the domain of ‘observational science’ and ...

Many secular forums are very well moderated. There is routinely more spewing here, which ties in with why secular forums often ban all religious discussion.

I do not understand what non Christians who want to disprove the bible and creation are doing on a Christian site. The sermons etc here are free to enjoy so when u comment can you keep it clean and treat others with respect. Keep ur spewing to ur secular sites or if u are desperate to comment then find an evolution supporting forum and practice it there.

Good post, CJW. I was fortunate in that, even as a child, I never believed that we evolved from primates, the big bang, or any sort of macro evolution. I can't explain why, as a child I didn't, but it just never clicked with me. My question
to the evolutionists are always the same, but one is: why are the no homosapiens around who are in the evolutionary process? We should, at any given time, see life evolving all around us.
Yes, the children are taught immediately that we were once head scratching, grunting, banana eating apes. So many grow up believing this lie, and believe that when they die, they will just fade into oblivion. ..lights out. With this hopelessness ingrained within them, many go on to lead lives in which human life has no value. I see more and more people who don't seem to have any empathy, living however they please because they don't believe that there will be any accountability in the end.
Really traguc that so many will choose to remain willfully ignorant, even to the very end.

Evolution is a lie that can keep one from believing God's Word. I grew up in the U.S. public school system and was taught very early on that evolution was a fact that could not be scientifically refuted.

I professed faith in Christ first in 2003, but 3 years later I realized that my profession of faith was meaningless because I didn't truly believe the Bible then.

In 2006 I came across the answersingenesis website, and other creation ministries, and just kept reading. The Lord Mercifully let me realize that evolution wasn't science, but rather another religion that required one to need more faith than trusting in the Biblical God. It was my belief in evolution for 39 years, among other things, that kept me from trusting the Bible as absolute truth. One cannot honestly believe in death-before-man evolution & in the Bible at the same time. Either you believe the whole Bible or none of it. To pick and choose what part of the Bible is true makes man the authority, not God. But God's Word is absolutely true in its entirety!

I hope the minitrial stated in this article takes place. It will help "scientists" see that "science" doesn't prove evolution. It may also help someone trust God's Word & accept Christ as Lord & Savior by faith alone as what graciously happened to me.

I can tell that you are the same person who posted within another thread under the name "wierdo". Seems to me that you keep writing different comments using different names to make it appear as though you have other supoorters on your side.
I would be more than happy to discuss whatever makes you angry but as usual, you never post up any solid facts because you don't have any. You can't even lend examples to your posts.
I think you are most likely a regular poster here who is changing their name to avoid conflict because you are one of those cowards who can only call someone a name while you are driving by them at 80mph so they can't catch you.
By the way, your style along with the content of your posts tell me that you are a fairly unintelligent person. I can't respect that enough to answer you again.
Well thats funny! Because as you know Tinkerbell is accusing you and your friends of doing just that.
An ex addict such as yourself would be able to recognise the even worse addictions the internet can foster.

Yes. THats right Chris. But don't YOU think it strange that you are so happy to carry on conversing with people who are just playing roles on a Christian site?
Arguing over theology for the world to see so long as no one asks any pertinent questions? It what you do when people begin to realise the game. Thats the sin in it all.
Narssisstic tendencies? Lies. Mind Games. What for? And all in the name of their / your God. Does it occur to you that their GOD is a figment of their imagination?
BULLIES the lot of you.
You are a snare for other Christians and thats A FACT.
I AM CATHOLIC and you people are just offensive idolators of your own imaginations.
What an apposite moniker for an idolater and self confessed Romanist whose come to this forum to spew his Catholic bile, bereft of God, scripture and Christian love!

Evolution, once any rational, open minded person, begins doing any little bit of research, comes to realize quickly that it just can't be, doesn't add up, and much of the "science" is junk or has been disproven, but never updated to reflect the facts in textbooks.
There have been many evolutionists who have come to this realization...the conclusion that macro evolution is impossible and they have gone on record as stating such and that the only other option is that we were indeed created. Unfortunately, they still think that a creator God is too unbelievable; a belief reserved for wackos. So, they have chosen to believe in panspermia...the belief that aliens planted us here on Earth long ago.
Um, but where did the aliens come from then, ladies and gentlemen? ...and on, and on, and on

A high-tech monkey trial. One word: entropy. The universe is expanding and everything, period, all life, heads towards disorder the moment it is created. Not to mention, where are all of the evolving apemen and creatures at? At any given moment, evolution, on a macro scale, should be able to be witnessed all around us.
These people know how fine tuned this Earth and universe are. The slightest adjustment in many areas would cause life to cease to exist. How did it get that way? What about irreducible complexity? What about left and right handed amino acids among many, many, other issues that make evolution simply impossible.
