Massachusetts School: Lesbian Mary, mother of God!
Students from the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School, or PVPA – which serves 400 pupils, grades 7-12, in South Hadley, Mass. – on March 15-17 performed the controversial play, “The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told.”
A New England theater guide, The Theater Mirror, in a glowing review, further explains the play “gets so specific as to be a gay how-to sexbook” and summarizes it as “a goofy gay romp with a serious sting in its tale.”
News of the play’s pending performance prompted protests from several sectors, including students, parents and even the president of the school’s board of trustees, who said he seconded a student opinion that the play is disrespectful to Christianity....
Mary's Roman Catholic title, "Mother of God", although I get their thought, is so misleading and is one of the things that has helped to diefy her within the world of Roman Catholocism. Mary has been elevated to a goddess who is in charge of all, Jesus, being subservient to her, must do whatever she tells him (RCC's own statement), and God, well, He is just floating around somewhere in the ether watching it all go down because Mary has it all under control. My hope is that someday, before it's too late, a spark will ignite within the Roman Catholic body, and they will begin to see how they have, and are being deceived. This can only happen when they begin to read and study the word of God, comparing what He says to what they have been taught, and through prayer. I guess it all begins with their actually wanting to know the truth though, and that begins with an open mind.

Thanks, Helps...I bookmarked the link. "Never boring" is good news because no matter what the topic is, I get bored real quick with flat, monotone sermons. I'm very interested in the prophetic books, and am always looking for someone who has the knowledge and teaching ability to keep my attention. The one I've found so far may be a bit too edgy in some areas. Thanks again...
Anne, I so agree with you, it's worth listening to this sermon with full concentration taking in each word each scene, how often I have heard " I will have plenty friends in hell "no no no there will be no friends there just eternal misery, but like you said unimaginable.
Elise, the sermon by Barnett should scare the Hell out of people! It is palpable. As Heaven is beyond our imagining, yet we get weak glimpses through the Bible of its beauty, I suspect Hell finds itself equally unimaginable, but in its horror.

One source of never boring, highly helpful sermons by an extraordinary preacher used by God to benefit my soul, which I'm sure you will benefit from as well are at:

He is good on all things, and particularly good on the prophetic books which are so neglected by most Christians because they don't want to get tied up on all the different schools of interpretation. Try his series on Daniel for a taster.
Also try his Survey of the OT for a really helpful birds' eye view of the OT books - really great!
Hope you'll give them a try.
BTW there are Stuart Olyott sermons on SA as well.
Hi Elise, Thanks for the info. I wrote it down but thought it sounded familiar after so I checked my iPod and there it was! How about that. I don't really remember it though so I'll give it another listen. Thanks again!
Wonder which side the ACLU would be on if the play was making fun of the "prophet" Mohammed or if it was teaching the six days of creation as pictured in the Bible, then they would be saying you shouldn't offend people. Speaking of sermons about Hell. Albert N Martin (over 1100 sermons on this site), has a great series of sermons on the topic, alas not here though.
Christopher, as you have mentioned Hell I thought I would let you know of a very good sermon, or I should say frightening sermon, by Dr. John Barnett called Jesus Describes Hell, as you listen to it you almost see a picture before you, truly fearful. Lord bless you and keep posting.
I am beginning to understand why there are different levels reserved in Hell for the damned. I can't even begin to imagine what an eternity in Hell will be like but I know it will be much worse than any horror movie I can imagine. Weeping and knashing of teeth, where the worm dieth not, probably all kinds of horrible creatures...yikes. People today seem to have absolutely no fear whatsoever. They act like they will die and reawake as gods, or something, and be in complete control on the other side. Unfortunately, many won't know the truth until the moment of death when a demon comes to lead them to their new home. I can't imagine, at that moment, knowing that I missed my opportunity and will never, ever be offered a 2nd chance, and know, at that moment, that I am damned, and appointed to suffer greatly for ever and ever.
"A horny rinosaurous on the ark that tries to seduce men" ...among other really disgusting things.
I think it's Interesting that true Chriatianity can be assaulted, day after day, with no holds barred; no backlash. However, insult the goddess Mary, and everyone comes out of their closets swinging and crying foul.
I respect Mary as being the blessed Earthly mother of Jesus, but that's it because the Bible never exaults her, and Jesus never once lifts her up above anyone. Mary was a very special woman, but a sinner like the rest
