Common Core Curriculum: A Look Behind the Curtain of Hidden Language

Conservatives are in an uproar over Common Core, an educational curriculum being forced upon the states by the Obama administration, which is scheduled to be mostly implemented this year in the 46 states that have adopted it. Common Core eliminates local control over K-12 curriculum in math and English, instead imposing a one-size-fits-all, top-down curriculum that will also apply to private schools and homeschoolers.

Superficially, it sounds good. It creates universal standards that supposedly educate all children for college. But along with the universal standards come a myriad of problems, which the administrators of Common Core are disingenuously denying. The American Principles Project released an analysis last year of Common Core, exposing the duplicitous language. Common Core describes itself as "internationally benchmarked," "robust," "aligned with college and work expectations," ...

The Gates seem to be a VERY busy family! Several states have already implemented their "inBloom" system which data mines your children! From social security numbers and vaccination records, to your kids' "hobbies, interests and attitudes toward school". (I would suspect much to be done with this information; none of it productive let alone godly.). Every school system that uses this has all this information compiled into one company! So now we have B&M Gate's funded curriculum and a whole system that can track your child's development! Wow, so many directions to take that conversation!

I pray more Chrisitans will take Psalm 1 to heart and when we've done all, to stand.
