Man was denied job â€˜just for being a Christianâ€™

A man says he was refused a job at a country house hotel near Colchester â€” simply because he was a Christian.

Graphic designer Jamie Haxby applied for a job at Prested Hall hotel to assist with the hotelâ€™s marketing and promotion.

But, he claims, he was told he couldnâ€™t have the job because some of the hotel staff are atheists who wouldnâ€™t work with a committed Christian.

If the story is accurate, I don't know why
anyone would have been bothered with him working there. He would have been employed to get a job done, not to preach, etc, so I don't see what the issue would have been.
I will say that I have a difficult time believing that in todays litigious society, any employer would be so bold as to actually tell him that he would not fit in for the reason stated.

The United Kingdom has a socialist government where Freedom of Religion is non existant. So that incident is to be expected in the United Kingdom.
