Televangelist Benny Hinn and his wife Suzanne remarried on Sunday at the Holyland Experience in Orlando, Fla. in front of a thousand people.
"Thank you for praying for Suzanne and me! It is because of your prayers, intercession and love, that we are where we are today," Pastor Hinn said on his Facebook page, thanking well-wishers.
The Examiner reported that the ceremony was open to the congregation and spectators, drawing close to a thousand people who showed up to give their well-wishes to the formerly divorced couple....

Well, your experience with these folks exceeds mine, but I have experienced some of the same things as you did. The spiritual side of mankind can be very complicated. There are those who can walk on hot coals or stick things into their bodies without pain, etc. I simply say that there are demons and those demons can possess the unsaved and can influence the saved. And, these demons have tremendous power. Look at the man that was bound with chains that Jesus freed. He certainly had power, etc. So even though there is the appearance of power or sometimes even real power in the Charismatic movement, I simply denounce it because of their doctrines; that way it doesn't confuse me. Everything must begin with correct theology and build from there.
I believe that someone can be saved and still in the Charismatic movement, but I wouldn't fellowship with them. I would error on the side of caution.
Deuteronomy 13:1-4 are very good verses to ponder when looking at these con-artists.

Yes, in Vegas, we called them grifters, and they were everywhere; the pros, and the neophytes in training.
"Intoxicating", Frank, was a perfect choice. When we used to pray, holding hands in a circle, or whatever, I would sometimes feel actual energy pulsing rhythmically up my arms and throughout the rest of my body. Very strange and this was one of several experiences that would further convinceme that I was right where I was suppose to be. I don't know what that was that I would feel but I realized that wasn't the place to be afterall. I've also witnessed several "exorcisms" because every other day, someone had a demon of Mormonism, homosexuality, or whatever. Let metell you, when people need attention or are otherwise put on the spot, or deceived, I guess, boy, can they act. I've seen some Grammy worthy presentations. Not that there are not bonafide possessions, but I'm talking Bob Larson types of shows. That guy is something. Challenging Satan, daring him, mocking him. Did even a powerful angel dare not to bring a railing accusation? Ok, I'm rambling.

I just don't understand why more people who supposedly know their Bibles, claim to be God fearing Christians, etc, continue to support people like this who are obviously deluded and have fallen oh so far away from sound teaching. I wonder if some people get bored with the Bible and need to feel more "supernatural" activity in their lives even if that means adding to the word of God.
Yes, you are probably correct. Christianity and especially their prayer lives, become boring to them and then all of a sudden these people offer them powers they don't have. It is very intoxicating. You and I have both been involved with them, although my experience with them was in the beginning of my walk with Christ. In other words, I didn't switch to them, but left them. I remember at one time I actually recommended Earnest Angley (sp) to folks and even sent money to Jim Bakker.

Have any of you seen her very interesting style of speaking on his platform during his "faith healing" services, or listened to the topics she discusses? If you haven't, you can just Google 'Benny Hinns wife", or similar. While watching one of the clips a while back, I really thought she was posessed. Very, very odd woman, yet the people receive her as though she is a prophetess, etc.

Chris you are no doubt right many of those who suffer from Charismatic Chaos are demon-possessed--or showboating. In either case not a Christian. An Examination of the Word-faith Movement shows it to be one of the most anti-Christian of movements, which most be pointed out.
So, Chris, I like your observations. Also one has to remember it is a case of Divorce on Trial.
