Israel mobilizes as millions of locust descend
Agriculture Ministry workers armed with pesticides went into action at first light Wednesday morning, distributing both aerial and ground sprays in the area where millions of locusts descended upon southern Israel from Egypt's Sinai Peninsula the day before.

The ministry said that it would also continue to monitor the situation in Egypt

Actually, Chris, it has a lot to do with what you can cover them up with--

Mark 1
6 And John was clothed with camel's hair and wore a leather belt around his waist, and his diet was locusts and wild honey.---NASB

I would just bet he covered those locusts with honey. You know like people cover ants with chocolate? I would suppose a lot of things would start looking editable --as you pointed out-- the hungrier you got. Hey, I'm wild about shrimp, but they're so cute when they're alive you almost hate to eat them.

The problem I have when thinking of eating creatures such as this is:
You are eating everything. You are eating their brains, their eyes, their Intestines, their butts...everything. Yuck.

I guess if I was starving though, I would do what I had to. I watch the Amazing Race and some of what other people considerl delicacies around the planet. ..yikes.

Ah, you mean Rufus, Does God Have a Future for Israel?... Oh, and of course, Christian Zionists: The Real Terrorists.

Aren't they just the cutest things when they're cooked? Locusts: A plague or a blessing?, but God can very well be reminding Israel of it's failings, http://www.jpost.com/LandedPages/PrintArticle.aspx?id=306114.

Poison ivy is great for mosquito bites. Just rub it all over your body and you'll forget that you even have them.

It is true there are some plants which were not created for man's consumption.

2 Kings 4:38 And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets. 39 And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not. 40 So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.

Maybe it is God's provision. He has done it in the past, with manna and quails. Instead of killing off with pesticides, maybe they ought to be making locust pie, topped off, as Jim says, with some honey.

Fried grasshopper? Sounds good, Rufus.

Dear Troubled One:
Jim, have you watched the nightly news and seen during the commercial time, medical commercial after medical commercial after lawyer commercial after lawyer commercial regarding medicines that have been pulled off the market because "kill" people, or severely maim people's lives. Medicines that are "officially" rubber stamped by the FDA. Be careful Jim of the hand that feeds you a synthetic goody and the other hands that wants to sell you a casket. Peace out, Brother!

PS: I don't eat poison ivy even though it is a plant. Me smart!

I have faith that God has put out quite a few plants that are dangerous to man,

"Treat unknown plants with respect, and teach your children to do the same." from, Common Poisonous Plants and Plant Parts

The number of people who thought they were experts in mushrooms -- and weren't probably would fill many cemeteries from that mistakes in identification.

No, vitamin pills are quite sensible, when taken in a sensible amount. Remember even too much water can kill you. Yes, even rain water.

Jim, A fool says in his heart that there is no God; a fool also says in his heart that the natural creation that God has provided is not for his own good. The majority of americans have believed the new enlightment, and that which is chemical is better than that which is natural. They have become wise in their own minds, and turned what is natural into something which is unnatural (synthetic). Jim, your faith is in man, not in God.

They are not locusts. They look small because they are 200 million Chinamen launching an invasion. The Bible tells me so.

Yes, Rufus, even if that is a Jewish source that I gave it took note that John at locusts, but I would say everything goes better with honey. It might give you some ideas on how to do grasshopper. Now if one was Jewish, American grasshopper might not be kosher.
