The Hidden Ark group began building a 500-foot wooden Noah’s Ark on the outskirts of Hialeah that will be both a zoo and a way to raise awareness about the current environmental changes.
“It’s a religious thing because it’s Noah and God teaches us to protect animals,” said Carolina Peralta who is part of the group, hiddenark.com. “You’re using Noah’s Ark to make a statement about helping animals and conserving our planet.”
John U.K., I think I might have already mentioned this one to you, Wickedness, the Flood and the Covenant but again looking at Noah, False teachers have no relationship, fear, or belief in God as Noah did. The Characteristics of False Teachers. We should remember that Ark does represent a faith in God, besides God promise about no more worldwide floods. This is the most important aspect of it. So, I'm glad you brought the point up about Noah being faithful.

Yes I believe that is correct, Christopher. It just goes to show that "faith" is not some ethereal "hope" but a living relationship with Jehovah, whereby his voice is heard and obeyed. Otherwise Noah would never have built such a ship in a dry field having never seen any rain.
As: Luke 5:5 KJV 5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless *at thy word* I will let down the net.
and: 1 Kings 18:36 KJV 36 ...Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things *at thy word*.

I do believe SA had a comment on that. I'm not particularly to Ark builders and the one in the Netherlands. The fellow did turn it into a money making operation, q.v., Modern-Day Noah: Dutch Man Builds Ark of Biblical Proportions. (Remember to hit the back button on your browser to see Gil's comments not on the Ark but on Biblical interpretation.)
Before huge iron ships like air craft carriers etc. you can imagine why many scoffed at the size of he ark and its ability to float. The above link brings back to memory that Dutch man who built a full size ark and it is astonishing to view! Google further pics as this is from a couple of years ago!
2 Peter 3 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. 11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, on account of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!---NASB

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea.---NASB

Pretty funny visual, Cliff...ha-ha.
Now here is another area where I have heard something completely different as to the reason. When speaking about flame retardency, are you talking about the pitch within and without?
