Author and Pastor John MacArthur to Receive NRB Hall of Fame Award
Prolific author and pastor of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, Calif., John MacArthur, will receive the National Religious Broadcaster's highest honor, the NRB Hall of Fame Award, next Tuesday at the National Religious Broadcaster 2013 Convention & Exposition in Nashville, Tenn.
"It is our honor and privilege to induct John into NRB's Hall of Fame," said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright in a statement. "John's commitment and faithfulness have inspired so many in their walk with Christ. I praise God for his exemplary ministry!"
The NRB describes its Hall of Fame award "as a witness for current communicators, a showcase of warriors for Christ who live exemplary lives of valor and compassion, blazing trails and leaving paths for succeeding generations to follow." A National Religious Broadcaster's Hall of Fame Award?
The absurdity for a follower of Jesus should be obvious. For pharisees, scribes and chief priests perhaps the absurdity is less obvious (Nicodemus, Simeon, Melchizedek and others excepted).
John MacArthur should man up and repudiate such nonsense.
Interesting considering John MacArthur has been kicked off of some stations associated with the NRB to be replaced by psychobabblers.

What was the objection? The stand on psychology. To me it is a biblical issue. Evidently it is a biblical issue from their viewpoint as well-that anyone who opposes the mixing of psychology and the Bible must be removed from the airwaves.
