f a report on Thursday, Feb. 21, in the Italian newspaper La Repubblica is to be believed, Pope Benedict XVI's recent decision to resign just got a whole lot more interesting. The paper claims that around the time that Pope Benedict decided to step down, the pontiff learned of a faction of gay prelates in the Vatican who may have been exposed to blackmail by a group of male prostitutes in Rome. The revelations allegedly appeared in a 300-page report by three cardinals that the pope commissioned to investigate the release of internal documents by his butler, the so-called "Vatileaks" scandal. (A Vatican spokesman has refused to confirm or deny La Repubblica's claims, and the internal Vatican report is reportedly stowed away in a papal safe for Pope Benedict's successor to peruse.)

It is sad, yes. I would like to listen to some sermons on this subject, as we soon reach the end of the world, and these things will happen before our very eyes; some would say they are happening right now.

A Mystery? Yes indeed.
Revelation 17:1-6 KJV 1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
The plot thickens, but no matter how many evils from within the Vatican walls get exposed, the Roman Catholic population will remain in tact. This is what is so troublesome to me. No matter who rapes who, no matter how many children the priests have molested, no matter how many homosexuals there are within the seminaries and hierarchy, the Mass goes on, attendence remains the same, and it all remains a dirty little secret that nobody talks about.

Perhaps this is how the world will come to an abrupt end in fire and brimstone.
The original Sodom and Gomorrah were zapped in that way, if the Christian church gets smaller and smaller "then the end will come?"
Gen 18:24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? ... 26 And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes. 27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes: 28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it."
No doubt there are skeletons in all of the Popes closets, Benedict wanted to make this one a saint! Pope Pius XII and the Holocaust.
But immorality has been a problem throughout the history of the Romish Church, the Romish Church just got better at covering it up after the 16th Century!
Mike Gendron wrote: Once a church has forsaken their love for Jesus and compromised His Word, the downward spiral continues as it begins to tolerate sin and sexual immorality....A major compromise by the Roman Church was to deny God’s judgment upon all sin. A new category of sin called venial was contrived that did not warrant the punishment of hell. Whenever God’s Word is perverted by man, the absolute standard for living sensibly, righteously and godly is impeached. This was evidenced by a period of blatant sexual immorality among Roman Catholic clergy from 615 to 1517 AD. By forbidding its clergy to marry (a doctrine of the devil) the church suffered through numerous sexual scandals. In the 15th century Rome had more prostitutes than any city in the world because it had more celebrates....
