The Skeletons in Benedict's Closet
f a report on Thursday, Feb. 21, in the Italian newspaper La Repubblica is to be believed, Pope Benedict XVI's recent decision to resign just got a whole lot more interesting. The paper claims that around the time that Pope Benedict decided to step down, the pontiff learned of a faction of gay prelates in the Vatican who may have been exposed to blackmail by a group of male prostitutes in Rome. The revelations allegedly appeared in a 300-page report by three cardinals that the pope commissioned to investigate the release of internal documents by his butler, the so-called "Vatileaks" scandal. (A Vatican spokesman has refused to confirm or deny La Repubblica's claims, and the internal Vatican report is reportedly stowed away in a papal safe for Pope Benedict's successor to peruse.)

It is sad, yes. I would like to listen to some sermons on this subject, as we soon reach the end of the world, and these things will happen before our very eyes; some would say they are happening right now.

Yes, John, the book of Revelation speaks directly to the Roman Catholic religious system...it's unmistakable. Even some Roman Catholic apologists admit that this is Babylon and the whore of Babylon referred to in the Bible. and the Catholic encyclopedia confirms it as Babylon as well.
I have listened to many speakers confirm and prove, step by step, that the RCC is indeed, and beyond any doubt, the very same whore spoken about and warned of in the bible.

The plot thickens, but no matter how many evils from within the Vatican walls get exposed, the Roman Catholic population will remain in tact. This is what is so troublesome to me. No matter who rapes who, no matter how many children the priests have molested, no matter how many homosexuals there are within the seminaries and hierarchy, the Mass goes on, attendence remains the same, and it all remains a dirty little secret that nobody talks about.

By the way, the quotation I used in my first message came from, The Church of Rome Steps Into Apostasy (PDF). One should remember the Romish Church will be a part of Whore of Babylon Church during the Tribulation,
The Harlotry of Babylon
, Since the Romish church isn't Christian, Should Roman Catholicism really be classified as a Christian religion? -- No., so it will be here during the Tribulation.

Perhaps this is how the world will come to an abrupt end in fire and brimstone.

The original Sodom and Gomorrah were zapped in that way, if the Christian church gets smaller and smaller "then the end will come?"

Gen 18:24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?
...
26 And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.
27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:
28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it."

As the size of the church diminishes ....

No doubt there are skeletons in all of the Popes closets, Benedict wanted to make this one a saint! Pope Pius XII and the Holocaust.

But immorality has been a problem throughout the history of the Romish Church, the Romish Church just got better at covering it up after the 16th Century!
