Leading Geneticist: Human Intelligence is Slowly Declining
Would you be surprised to hear that the human race is slowly becoming dumber, and dumber? Despite our advancements over the last tens or even hundreds of years, some ‘experts’ believe that humans are losing cognitive capabilities and becoming more emotionally unstable. One Stanford University researcher and geneticist, Dr. Gerald Crabtree, believes that our intellectual decline as a race has much to do with adverse genetic mutations. But there is more to it than that.
According to Crabtree, our cognitive and emotional capabilities are fueled and determined by the combined effort of thousands of genes. If a mutation occurred in any of of these genes, which is quite likely, then intelligence or emotional stability can be negatively impacted....
I really hate to encourage you guy! since it is really to much t.v. watching that is causing most of the problems, but I guess if I only do it rarely I can't be blamed too much, and considering that the Jews are know for their "smarts," and the way they concentrate on food, I give you these two articles to tickle your pallet
Christopher -- we are using reverse osmosis, and letting it sit in a glass container for awhile, adding some minerals back in.
I've heard different views on distillers as well, even that flouride maybe remains?? if someone has different information, I would be glad to hear it.
most flouride is taken out by reverse osmosis, and other chemicals.
here's website for even superior water, that straight from earth:
www.findaspring.com
if anyone was to live near one of those fountains of living water, if they do not have their own land, would be blessed.
Jim, I might encourage a symbolic and a literal reading of the verse you wrote out.
US -- would do well to follow the money and the deaths. the movie I referenced is filled with doctors and scientists...and is offered free. truly, let's follow the money. what is the cost of water munincipalities to pay for these systems and what would be the cost of the flouride suppliers to dump their toxic waste if no one would buy it? an article out recently with headline, "US ranks first in healthcare spending but last in life expectancy". who are we to judge the simple man in a "third world country" who drinks his water and feeds his family as inferior, while we add chemicals to everything, and pop pills?
JPW, What are your thoughts on distilled water as a replacement drinking water? From everything I've read in the past, the jury is still out because there are differing views that claim it leeches the vitamins and minerals either out of the system or renders them ineffective. I was always curious because I don't think flouride is added to this water and wondered if it would be healthier.

The only ones I'm familiar with are reverse osmosis types and distillation. We have a distiller, and we also purchase spring water. That avoids most of our fluoride intake, as well as the bad taste of municipal water.

There is a lot of that, US. The results of which in one case it was decided we need fluoride in our toothpaste and drinking water. There is money in it.

You may point that out Jim and if you think an infinite God can not have more than one meaning to what he tells his creatures...well that's a rather simple approach to scripture. I think it means (at a minimum) be faithful to your wife and drink clean water and don't lean on your state god (or whatever other source) to provide it for you. I intend to apply both meanings.
Proverbs 5 15 Drink water from your own cistern, And fresh water from your own well. 16 Should your springs be dispersed abroad, Streams of water in the streets? 17 Let them be yours alone, And not for strangers with you. 18 Let your fountain be blessed, And rejoice in the wife of your youth.---NASB

But we are not properly united, except as we attend to God's word, seeking his direction and blessing, and acting with affection. Ever remember, that though secret sins may escape the eyes of our fellow-creatures, yet a man's ways are before the eyes of the Lord, who not only sees, but ponders all his goings. Those who are so foolish as to choose the way of sin, are justly left of God to themselves, to go on in the way to destruction.

I do not have a satisfactory clean water solution at this time. We buy filtered water for drinking and cooking and have chlorine filters on our shower heads etc. but the only way to really manage this properly in my mind is to...
Proverbs 5:15 - Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
...and so long as I'm in the city I can't get this done. Therefore, I am intending a relocation this year to a more rural environment for this and other reasons.
How about yourself? Do you have a recommended filter that gets out fluoride?
Mike -- does your church have a filtration system? that would be a great way to avoid all these "benefits", as they say. "flouridegate, an american tragedy" is available free to watch for those not informed....its on Dr. Mercola's website. Peace in Christ.
glad someone enjoys a little dry humor. do you have a good water filter? water is a good place to start, I think. you are correct that most live off of those products that do lower the IQ etc. most I'm talking to these days are dealing with health issues that would have been a problem for those double and triple their ages. I've mentioned this before, but I had a long conversation with an abortionist (I didn't know this fact until the end of the conversation). he openly admitted that gm foods and agenda 21 movement (one and the same in his book) would make the eaters sick and they would be dependent on synthetic drugs..... all to save the world by reducing human population .... funny to hear it "from the horse's mouth" and then come here to have fellow believers in Christ defend these practices as "free market"...... I see it more as weeding out the gullible. I know I'm throwing a lot on here, just reminding everyone that this is not a fiction novel.... I see its reality around me every day.
