Should UK Christians Demonstrate Against Gay Marriage?
Could 2013 be the year of Christian rage?
In the wake of the European Court of Human Rights judgments, where three Christians lost appeals against their employers' "faith discrimination", and many opposed to the equal marriage bill in the verge of being approved across political parties, activists have told The Huffington Post UK, they are gearing up to "take to the streets".
And the leader of one Christian political party, a former Conservative councillor, has told HuffPost UK the movement can take inspiration from Muslim demonstrations, and anti-gay marriage marches in European countries like France....
Now I would personally not "knowingly" demonstrate with unbelievers for any cause regardless of the outcome. In my opinion, the below forbids that in no uncertain terms. God never tells us to comprise for a noble cause.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
