PM struggles to convince his own MPs about gay marriage

David Cameron is struggling to win over a majority of his own MPs to support the redefinition of marriage, The Times reports today.

The Bill to change the meaning of marriage has now been published, and MPs will get their first chance to vote on Tuesday 5 February.

But the Prime Minister may have to rely on the votes of his political opponents to get the measure passed in the Commons.

One of the first campaign promises our current PM fulfilled in his first term was to hold a vote in the house on same-sex marriage. Unfortunately he forbade his member to participate in the voting process, thus solidifying our nations current stance on this issue. Until we have a change in leadership the only thing we will see on this topic is smoke and mirrors

"David Cameron is struggling to win over a majority of his own MPs to support the redefinition of marriage"

"Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD."

Yes, that is right, Rufus. And I believe we are also under thousands upon thousands of new laws from Europe which most of us do not even know what these new laws are.

If there had been a referendum on EU membership before now, I feel sure the vote would have been to exit. Now Mr Cameron our PM has promised to hold a simple referendum on this no later than 2017. But we have an election between now and then, which he knows he will lose. The hoi-polloi over here are very simple minded when it comes to politics, and always vote for the party who has presented them with seeming benefits, usually in reference to hard cash.

You have to view this historically Rufus...

"Origins and machinery of the European human rights system

The European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) is an international treaty drawn up within the Council of Europe, which was established in Strasbourg in 1949 in the course of the first post-war attempt to unify Europe. The United Kingdom was among the first states to ratify the ECHR and played a pivotal role in its creation. The UK accepted the right of individuals to take a case to Strasbourg and the jurisdiction of the ECtHR in 1966. In 1998, the right of individual petition and the jurisdiction of the Court were made compulsory for all states which are members of the ECHR."

Refus, one reason the British may vote to leave the European Union

Queer marriages are of course an oxymoron.

Matthew 19
3 And some Pharisees came to Him, testing Him, and saying, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause at all?"
4 And He answered and said, "Have you not read, that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE,
5 and said, 'FOR THIS CAUSE A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER, AND SHALL CLEAVE TO HIS WIFE; AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH'?
6 "Consequently they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."---NASB

and also The Bible Says Homosexuality is Sin.

"the Prime Minister may have to rely on the votes of his political opponents to get the measure passed in the Commons."

The socialists/Labour party and the Liberals/Lib.Dems are already convinced by Liberalism to accept the abomination. The Conservative party is partially convinced but has some individuals who remain as yet unconvinced.

Cameron has begun the campaign to nationalise the acceptance of so called same-sex marriage which is a strategy of negating the Scripture by validating the opposite, in this case homosexual practice.

Apathy in large areas of the UK population will allow this abomination to become an acceptable reality as far as the people are concerned. In this debate 'moral standards' are relegated to a traditional past and history where people were not as 'educated' as society is today.

This is part of the spiritual battle in which the Christian is in the minority, is not heeded and thus the Bible is easily rejected by others. One of the insidious organisations in all of this struggle is the national church, CofE/CofS, who are clearly on the side of Satan.

"Also today, The Daily Telegraph reports that the Government may be powerless to stop teachers getting fired if they refuse to endorse gay marriage.

The paper quotes a senior source close to Michael Gove, the Education Secretary, saying there is ‚Äúinherent uncertainty‚ÄĚ about the legal implications.

The source says this is because the issues are under the control of judges at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg."

Could one of our UK brethren explain this? Is your country now under the control of a court that is not of your country?
