New York Governor Pushing Bill for 3rd-Term Abortions
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is pushing a bill in the New York state legislature that pro-life advocates are aggressively opposing. They say the so-called Reproductive health bill is the “the most sweeping abortion legislation in the nation” because it would lift limits on third-trimester abortions and allow non-physicians to do abortions.
“Gov. Cuomo’s bill elevates abortion to a fundamental right and says New York state can’t discriminate on abortion in benefits or services or anything else it provides,” said Kathleen Gallagher, the New York’s Catholic Conference director of pro-life activities....

Well said fellow stranger and pilgrim! Can someone imagine standing before the Lord and arguing that the murder of little babies was according to the law of man, so they weren't responsible? The Nazis argued this and the tribunals found them guilty;can anyone imagine them standing before the Lord on judgment day.
We are living at a time in which the forces of secularism are pushing harder than ever before to 'purge' our legal system in the United States of all Christian principles. Their goal is to remake our nation into the anti-Christian, secularized 'scientocracy' foreseen by writers like C. S. Lewis-- a society in which public policy is dictated by a godless elite who see themselves as the founders of a new world order-- a secular utopia based on redistributionist Marxist policies and the denial of moral absolutes. Men like Cuomo think nothing of trampling upon God-given human rights in the pursuit of their agenda. To them nothing is sacred-- not sex, not the lives of unborn children-- nor is there any authority superior to that of the state, which needs no justification for its policies other the raw power it has to impose them.

This Cuomo is the same one who recently got more gun legislation pushed via a screaming speech about saving children. He, like others, sees no hypocrisy in himself.

Term limits are not enough to keep these guys from becoming so full of themselves over time that they lose contact with reality. Don't ask me how it can be done but I'd really like to see some kind of "rotation" program for ALL politicians where they serve two or three terms, tops, then go back to "civilian" life if for no other reason than to "reconnect" with "the masses" from which they originally came and are duty-bound to serve.
George McGovern eventually discovered how out of touch he'd become after so many years as a civil servant that when he finally retired and tried to open a bed and breakfast, he was appalled at the amount of red tape he had to deal with--much of it developed during his tenure as a politician.
