'Horrific' New Mexico shooting leaves 5 dead; investigators arrest 15-year-old
The New Mexico teenager accused of gunning down his family over the weekend had reloaded his guns after the attacks and planned to go to a Wal-Mart and randomly shoot people, authorities said Tuesday.

Instead, 15-year-old Nehemiah Griego texted a picture of his dead mother to his 12-year-old girlfriend, then spent much of Saturday with the girl, they said. The two went to the church where his father had been a pastor, and Griego eventually admitted killing his parents and three younger siblings.

Bernalillo County Sheriff Dan Houston said Griego had planned the attack for a week, but it's unclear if he ever actually went to a Wal-Mart or why he changed his mind. The teen said he had planned to randomly shoot more people, then die in a shootout with law enforcement, according to authorities. ...

You aren't in denial. I enjoy commenting with you on here. I guess that commenter " just an observation " knows more than us. It's better to be like you and me, we don't know it all but at least we are honest. God bless you brother!!!

Oh, come on now...what a ridiculous comment. First of all, I think it's interesting how some of you cowards change your screen names whenever you go to post anything that may cause conflict.
So, let me ask you this: You are at home cleaning your windows one day when one of your neighbors comes flying through the door. He proceeds to tell you that another neighbor just murdered his entire family and hacked them up into pieces. You, in response to this very dark news, and according to your logic, look at him, respond with a simple, "oh", and go back to cleaning your windows. So, is this how your personal reaction to this scenario would play out? The question was rhetorical...of course you would be shocked, horrified, surprised, and would have much more to say, rather than a simple, "oh" in response.
So, when you are surprised, it's a non issue, but when I am surprised at the human level, as opposed to looking at it as the global result of fallen man, I'm suddenly in denial of a Biblical doctrine?
Good grief...thanks for the laugh.

Maybe you don'e believe in the biblical doctrine of depravity, which is why you are surprised?

Thank you. Yeah, I guess anyone is capable of anything but I'm just so surprised when a crime like this is linked to a Christian home. I guess he never believed what he had been taught growing up.

I worked jail ministry with this pastor and everything seemed fine. Homeschoolers, sheltered family, etc., but I have feeling that there was a 'hole in the umbrella', somewhere! Not sure if this is the case with this family, but, growing up in 'church', I heard, and hear pastors encouraging folks to serve in the 'church', while the enemy came in the back door of the 'first church(the family!)'! Men of YAH, guard your peapatch, first!!

Christopher, from Rhode Island , when I lived down south I went to an apostolic church. Let me tell you, the pastors son was as bad as can be. Turns out a few years later he wound up shooting and killing some one. Like I said the devil will flow where ever the presence of God doesn't flow. Anybody is capable of anything under the right circumstances. Sin don't care who it destroys , pastors kids included

Crying about it dont change a thing. Its written we know whats coming, so why then all the questions ?

Well, I understand the darkness of things to come on a global level, but I tend to be a little more narrow minded with these situations. I tend to be curious about what specifically was going through someones mind, what could have triggered it, are they taking any psycotropics or illicit drugs, I wonder what their prior history was, etc, etc, etc. I think questions are necessary because if a common element is discovered, maybe, just maybe, future
lives can be saved.
I'm even more curious in this case because sons of Pastors don't usually go around committing mass murder.

Sometimes Gods word does not penetrate a souls heart. The reasons i dont know. All i do know now is with this case , everyone will cry ''ban guns'' but refuse to look at the real underlying issue of mans depravity. This country has becoe soft, and looks for any excuse to blame their behaivor on instead of facing the truth that we are soley responsible for our actions, not tv, pills, a video game, a turbulant childhood , abuse, ect ect, ultimately we all have thoughts, its what you do with your thoughts. When we stand before God, the excuses, and passing the blame on something or someone else is over. You and you alone will stand before God and give an account of what you did. But, what i just wrote will definately be argued. Wether we like it , believe it or not, these things happen because of the presence of darkness and the absence of light in our country. Its simple, where ever the presence of God is not flowing, the devil will flow, no matter who you are, your age race , position, or disposition. Sin is the reason and Jesus is our only answer . When people face that truth and turn to God but until then, its only going to get worse. Crying about it dont change a thing. Its written we know whats coming, so why then all the questions ?
