The chairman of the Illinois Republican Party has found himself embroiled in controversy after encouraging lawmakers to pass a same-sex marriage bill.
Party leaders say the problem is that Brady didn't consult his fellow party officers or executive committee members, prompting some to call for his resignation. But so far, Brady has remained steadfast in his decision to stay put.
"If people want to throw me out because I took on an issue of discrimination [as] the chairman of the Republican Party, the party founded by Abraham Lincoln, then that's – that's up to them and they're free to do it. But I'm not backing down," he said in a statement....
At least we can be thankful that the democratic party is taking such a strong stand against gay marriage. They are the ones that really deserve our support.
This is a good article for all the republicans in Illinois and America to read... And if one wants more proof, do a search for IL GOP Governors who have been incarcerated for corruption. This state is overripe for a new political party that will truly honor Christ and be based upon Biblical Principles. But for some reason, many Christians in Illinois continue to try to reform the rotten GOP - a waste of time and effort.
Ah, Mike of NY, just don't vote for the member of the Romish Church for an important office like Congress, but anyway, I was looking around for what a GOP female said, but it was something like what is in the following URL, Gay marriage: Republicans should move on and supposedly this woman is a conservative? and again of course, The Secular Case Against Gay Marriage. Perhaps Republicans can pay attention to that article?
But unfortunately members of a authoritarian religion such as the Romish Church suffer from the "Ends Touch" syndrome (sorry about that word!) in which they either go to extreme right or to the extreme left and perhaps even flip to one or the other, but never seem to have heard of the "Golden Mean."
