Franklin Graham Says 'Sin-Sickened' America Must Repent

Franklin Graham says America is living in "dark days" morally and spiritually as more same-sex couples get married, marijuana cigarettes are lit up in public places, and television is awash in blatant immorality.

The "sin-sickened" state of America will have far greater consequences than a "fiscal cliff," the evangelist warned.

"For the past few weeks, the media has been focused on what has been termed as the nation's 'fiscal cliff.' Our country's financial problems, however, are nothing compared to the spiritual and moral cliff that is far more destructive to our nation than any economic concerns," Graham said in a public letter last week. ...

Good Comment.
For us it is so easy to think in terms of "their sins" not our sins and certainly not 'my sins' which is utterly frightfull when we consider honestly if we say we have no sin (like pretending silence about Mormons being a cult, gluttony being in the same category as drunkenness, seeking to be friends with the world is enmity against God, as just examples) we decieve ourselves and the Truth is not in us, and we would be practising a form of godliness and deny the power thereof
God willing I think I'll go repent
Thanks Michael! We may disagree on some issues, but neither of us would intentionally become friends with the world to the extent that we would deny something we think is true for some type of personal gain or recognition. I repent every day and I always have something to repent of.

The other day I asked myself a purely "hypothetical" question; "if" the Lord gave me a choice between living a more holy life or having more power, which would I choose. I chose the holy life, but I admit after waffling back and forth.

This fellow continues to amaze me. He just got through denying that Mormons were a cult and now that the election is over, I guess he is going to continue confusing folks through his conservative moral agenda. Let him say that homosexuality is an abomination on FOX news and that practicing homosexuals will not enter into heaven and then I might start paying attention to him. Well maybe
This fellow and minstries like his are part of the reasons God is judging this nation. But, he is not as slippery as Rick Warren.
Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

good point made. we should judge our own fruit. we have watched the martydom of a generation of Christians in the ME after our interventions. we know that present leadership is not for personal rights or the church and yet we cannot see the picture. in our great arrogance we call not for less but more of it! and we see Is full of distaste for Christ. the land does not deliver a man's soul, we, the american church, are a generation that has become ashamed of the gospel of Christ. we are a generation filled with idolatry.

The US has been a friend and protector of the State of Israel prior to up to and beyond 1948. The downgrade of the United States and the curses against this country have run parallel to its support of Israel being restored in unbelief.

"Manasseh's grandson, Josiah, led the land to repentance after uncovering the book of the law (first five books of the Bible).

Just as the Lord used an 18-year-old king to begin revival in a corrupt nation more than 1,500 years ago, He can use us as we earnestly seek Him, stand for His truths, and pray for America."

"1,500 years ago..." Opps!

Anyway, Graham is right to lament the present state of this once great, blessed of God, nation but God's latest word on the matter goes like this....

Rev 22:10-11 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

I believe we are now under the Judgement of God and unless we as a nation repent we will see His wrath poured out..He has allowed our nation to be attacked here on our soil by terrorists..this tells me that God has begun to slowly remove His hand of protection from this nation because of the sins of the people,
