More Christians Killed As Pope Decries ‘Savage Acts of Terrorism’ in Nigeria
Suspected Islamist terrorists killed 12 Nigerians celebrating Jesus’ birth, hours before Pope Benedict XVI, in his traditional Christmas Day message, spoke out against “savage acts of terrorism” mainly targeting Christians in Africa’s most populous country.
Gunmen shot dead six Christians and set fire to an evangelical church in the northern state of Yobe, police said. Wire reports said the pastor was among the dead in the midnight attack.
Separately, a Baptist church in neighboring Borno state was attacked. Nigeria’s The Nation said six church members were killed....
what of the Libyan, Syrian Christians, the Iraqi, don't they count? Are we not seeing the book of Revelations happen before our eyes? What if we are ourselves are blessed with the same democracy given to them?
Huh! I'm going to have to get a new trackball, one of the buttons is going bad on it. It doubles things and it left off the comment I had!
It is a pity that His Unholiness, is the only Western leader attacking the murders in Nigeria, and members of the Romish Church have suffered from the hands of the Muhammadans. We do need to recognize Islam's Global War against Christianity.
Perhaps this Unholiness is reminded again about his quote from,
Emperor Manual II Paleologos of the Byzantine Empire wrote: Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.
What a pity His Unholiness, an anti-Christian is mainly the only Westerner of note making this appeal. By the way, not only Catholics, but Christians are being killed in Nigeria, something that needs to be stopped. In Nigeria and Mali (and the Philippines for that matter,) these Muhammadan thugs really need to be shown they can't get away with their violent acts. Like It Or Not, The War We Fight Is Against Islam because of Islam's Global War against Christianity.
I hope others actively pray for those followers of Christ who are living abroad in great peril. I always pray that God will give them the strength of mind to persevere and that He will protect them from the demonic attacks that they face on a daily basis. We have it so good in our warm, safe, little homes...living without fear of rape, torture, or physical death by the hands of those led by Satan. These people power on in the name of God, despite the repercussions they may have to endure...even pain of death. I can't imagine the fear they must have to endure on a daily basis.
